| Re mjm. I think you will find lowes played most of his career as hooker.
For your information the hooking position is in the forwards.

My Thoughts
OUT
Brent Webb-already pretty established as going to Catalans
Jamie Peacock-Sorry, but the old warhorse is shot. Can no longer put in the stints he used to, let alone play the full 80. The guy will be 35 at season end, and has looked less effective than Moore for much of this year.
Lee Smith-not as good a fullback as Hardaker, not as good a winger as Jones-Bishop or Hall, and not suited to our needs as a left centre. It's hard to see, other than cover, what Smith offers us. Can better advance himself elsewhere.
Chris Clarkson-has literally no go forward. Yes, his defence is reasonable, but for much of this season that's fallen off too. The opinion has generally been that unless he plays the full 80, he wouldn't start. Currently, I don't think any of those could be said.
Ian Kirke-again, a trier, and as his stint at Wire showed, he can attack and make yards. But he doesn't have Moore's offloading, or aggression, and has fallen out of the side in the last few months. That said, given he's probably not on too much money, I'd think about keeping him on.
Richard Moore-though aggressive, should never have been signed. Doesn't make too many yards, defensively poor, and generally making up the numbers, while blocking the path of youth. Wouldn't get signed by anyone we should be trying to compete with.
IN
Kyle Amor-Loan return. Been doing well for Wakey by all accounts for near two years, it's time to give him the opportunity he's deserved.
Luke Ambler-Loan Return. By all accounts, similar to the above at Fax, where their fans are raving about him.
Paul McShane-Loan return. Again, seems to be doing well at Widnes, and clearly has the faith of the management with his long-term contract. See him falling behind Hood in a few years, but so far our best option.
Daryl Millard-OOC at Catalans, the reliable, big LC we've been looking for.
Olivier Elima-OOC at Bradford. Big, brick house, aggressive, offloading second row. A better version of Moore.
Sam Moa-Wanting away from Hull. Prop forward with some mongrel and 'bang' about him. Would give some oomph to the pack where it's really needed.
John Bateman-we need a quality replacement for Sinfield. This guy is the next big thing, and we should be doing everything we can to bring him to Headingley. Big transfer fee needed, but with the clubs finances, the sleeve should be able to do a deal with Bulls.
Reprieved
Kevin Sinfield. Defence has been poor, and so has attack this year. I'd be looking to move Kev to a player-coach role next year, potentially playing him at Hooker rather than LF. 2013 to be Kev's last season on the playing staff.
Danny McGuire. Not as good a scrumhalf as Burrow, the loss of his pace has left Danny in an unfamiliar position. Ward is clearly the future, and played well at SO against Wire-so where does Danny's future lie? IMO, unless he can put in a big season in 2013, the answer is away from Headingley.
2013 Squad
1. Zak Hardaker
2. Ben Jones-Bishop
3. Kallum Watkins
4. Daryl Millard
5. Ryan Hall
6. Danny McGuire
7. Rob Burrow (VC)
8. Kylie Leuluai
9. Paul McShane
10. Darrell Griffin
11. Jamie Jones-Buchanan
12. Carl Ablett
13. Kevin Sinfield (C)
14. Liam Hood
15. Brett Delaney
16. Ryan Bailey
17. Olivier Elima
18. John Bateman
19. Weller Hauraki
20. Sam Moa
21. Luke Ambler
22. Kyle Amor
23. Jamel Chisholm
24. Liam Hood
25. Stevie Ward
Best 17

| I think we could do worse than look into signing Millard, Elima and Moa. They're all OOC and play in postions where we need strengthening ( based on Hardaker moving to fullback). I hope GH is on the case!

Much more succintly put.....how old are these guys?
I like the sound of adding Millard and Elima to the squad....but is Moa any better than Amor ? That seems the easiest solution to beef up the front row; along with Ambler, Singleton and D.Smith.
Keep Bailey out of the front row...he's hopeless at making any yardage and I still say Delaney would make a better prop in that respect. You can rely him to charge the ball in and make some yardage...and that's about it. The try he made for Burrow Friday night was hugely memorable because that sort of play is so damn rare from him.

| Moa is either going home or staying at hull IMO. Millard will re-sign for Catalan and Bateman will go to Warrington.

You'd keep McShane and Hood but yet play Sinfield at hooker?

Frosties, apart from David Williams any other players on GH's radar screen?

This would be the James Lowes that played most of his junior rugby at 6.

| Personally I hope we keep Kirke.
There's been two or three times now this season where the team have visibly improved when he's come off the bench.
Friday was the latest example.
I don't know why and I don't know how, but there it is!

| Tykes / Rhino's number 1 fan, you mention Amor and Ambler and giving youth a go, but then neither are in your 17 but Moa.
I can't wait for JP to come back and shove your words down your throat. He's been off the last few weeks but is being flogged. If you have a car, you don't put the pedal to metal constantly, you ease of now and again. McD hasn't let Peacock do that. He isn't a bad player, just a shattered one.
You also mention McShane and Hood but have Sinny at 9 and again they're not even on the bench. We ask if things could worse than they already are, and having you as coach would be a disaster. Great players don't become crap over night. Fair enough, some need to go, but show respect to the players that have given their heart and soul to our club. Players like Kev and JP have dragged us single handedly to the winning post at times and then 'no 1 fans' like you write them off when their form dips for a few weeks. Any fan can see the team is out on its feet. Most of the squad haven't had a rest for 3 years and McD hasn't used the squad adequately.
OUT
Numpty Leeds fans who let their mouths run away with them.

As an aside is that the last time Leeds played the Hun in a competetive game (tvoc)?

Having visited South Leeds a few times this season, I'd guess it's quite some time since anyone played the Hun in a competitive game!
