I just don't rate this Wigan side, but think it will get better.
Out of the top 4 sides I would rather have played Wigan than the others.
The other day I said Saints would win the GF without breaking sweat, but that was before I knew they had lost Pryce for the play offs, who I think is so important to them. I still think they are the best of the top 4, but I honestly have a feeling that Wire will lose their hoodoo this weekend.
I expect Leeds to face Saints at Home in the Semi, with the winner winning the comp. And Warrington at home to Wigan in the other.

Then presumably the judges scores are combined with the results of the telephone poll and the two teams with the lowest combined score play off to stay in the competition?'"
If it was true... it isn't!

| As has been said.
If we beat Wigan (doubt we'll have to consider this scenario) then we go straight through to a home tie in week 3.
When we lose to Wigan on Sunday then assuming Huddersfield win then we play Huddersfield at home next week.
If Huddersfield lose to Crusaders then we will be at home to the winners of the Hull derby and the losers of Saints v Warrington (in the scenario of Wigan beating us) will be at home to Crusaders
If Huddersfield win they play us at home (in scenario of Wigan beating us) and losers of Saints v Warrington play winners of Hull derby.

| I like gotchas optimism but I can't see it myself.
The only away playoff game I can remember us winning was saints 2005 and they got blitzed by injuries just before the playoffs.
If warrington can end the saints hoodoo I think they'll pick up the title and an impressive double.
warrington or saints, I just don't think wigan will win the title.

Thing is, our best chance of making the gf is somehow getting the win this week, then getting the home semi.
If this were to occur we could well be on the end of another score against warrington in the grand final. Their pack would get well on top and they have the backs to make it count.

| I'll go with Gotcha up to a certain point...I'd rather we played round 1 at Wigan than at Sts or Wire.
A win this weekend would be as good a result as this team's achieved so far IMO.

| I don't think that home advantage for the Wigan game is that important. What is crucial is whether we "turn up" or not. If we are in the mood to win then we can do it on their patch. What I am not confident about is our coach picking the best 17 and having both an A & B game plan.

| I've thought all year that Saints would win. They have coped well with injuries. With Pryce and Eastmond out I think it will be hard for them. I too have this feeling Wigan won't be able to rise to the occassion, which leaves Warrington in with the best shout

So....are you saying you think we are favourites/likely to win on Sunday?
I sure as hell hope we do and will be chearing on the boys regardless but I do so more in hope than expectation this time around
