In a regular league game you may like the disillusion that the morons are probably the opposition. But this game was a nice reality check, not only for our players, but just to highlight the kn*bheads who are Leeds 'fans'. I saw 2 tasty conflicts, it's great when they're fighting amongst themselves. Every club has them, but it's head-shaking why some fans can't take defeat, and being out-classed in every department, by a much better team on the night. That's the simple truth, those 'fans' who wanna turn up to only watch us up notch an epic win, stay at home and watch recent grand finals, that won't disappoint. It's better for me as well, so I don't have to look at you 'tards.'"
I agree. We had a right plank sat behind us who decided to call all leeds fans wa******* because we didn't sing all the way through, then called the Leeds payers wa****** because they didn't score when he wanted them to.
There were kids sat in front of us.

Totally agree with everything you just said. Although its not a major issue in RL every team has some fans that cant take defeat. Ive seen it from Saints fans when Ledds have beaten us in the grand finals, hull fans when we beat them and Wigan fans when we beat them. They are the ones that can spoil what is usually a brilliant day out win or lose.

you have a point. when there is 32000 people in one place at 6pm on a sunday you are always going to get some form of altercation. Just a shame its creeping into rugby now, or is it that its always been there in rugby but we are now finally bothering to notice it whereas in the past we turned a blind eye and pretended it wasnt there.
I admit in the past I may have got agitated when a ref makes what i believe to be a poor decision and may have been a little blue in the verbal towards him. But I just dont get the mentality of people that need to give it the big licks and start throwing their weight around all over the place. morons come to mind

| Different people take defeat in different ways.
Personally it depends on the match. When a team out-plays us, and deserves the win, then defeat is easy to take. You can't always be the best, and if you were life would be boring. That was the case last night, and in the eliminator against Saints
When I get annoyed losing is when we don't do ourselves justice, we're sloppy, we make poor decisions, maybe get a bad decision. Then I get frustrated, and like a rant to myself/wife. Then after about half an hour I realise its only a game and move on.

Funny people those that call everyone else '*rs', when it's a title more fitting for them.
There was a moron 2 rows in-front of me, yapping on all the game, brain dead et al. After an hour I kindly asked him to shut the hell up (kind of ) I got a round of applause and he was really quiet.
My fight continues.

| In 2007 when Leeds beat Saints at the Grand Final I was sat infront of four Saints fans and next to a family of Saints fans. When leeds went over for their first try one of the saints fans behind poured their pint over me. It was done deliberately slowly and purposefully. Now I'm not a fighter and I dont have a particularly short fuse but it took all of my will power not to turn round and clobber this fella! If I had though chances are I'd have got thrown out and not through any fault of my own.
This is what needs to be eradicated out of rugby league but it never will. I shouldnt have to put up with that and I guess I got my payback in the form of a GF win. At the end of the match the guy slapped me as he left (From behind; cheap shot) I again didnt react and Knobhead Number 1 left. As the family of Saints fans who we're sat next to me we're leaving the father shook my hand and thanked me for not reacting in a violent way. He said he wouldn't have liked his kid to have witnessed what would have happened if i'd taken the other route and quite justifiably kicked off! He then graciously did the "the best team won" act and went on his way.
Two sets of fans, two totally different characters. I took a moment in 2008 when I was sat in the players bar after the match to wonder whether or not Knobhead Number 1 had made the trip this year and whether or not someone had got a pint poured over them courtesy of him. I guess what Im trying to highlight is that you are bound to get idiots at all matches. Its bound to happen. But I think the best way to sort them is to ignore them....If people want to fight they are going to fight...But lets hope they realise the easy way to find a scrap is to off and watch football instead

| The worse thing that happened to me coming out of a game is a saints fan saying we’ll let you have that one in 07. He just totally didn’t acknowledge the class of that Leeds team that day. He was about 50 so I wasn’t really expecting it from him.
The 08 semi also featured a rather smirking women with a saints shirt on who gave me a leaflet purposely that told you how you can g0o about your challenge cup final weekend. I found this good banter rather than bad winners. But 07 was totally out of order and I would never expect that from anyone.
Probably the biggest losers parade coming out of a ground was all them saints fans in 01 (was it 01 in that epic semi?) when as a mere preteen I saw grown adults crying!

No, we beat the Dulls at Twickers in 2001.
You're referring to the last minute touchline conversion from Sinfield to take the semi to extra time aren't you? Thieving Yaarkshaar barstewards

| Sadly said fatty is a blood relative.
Luckily we had got our own tickets when we renewed our season tickets and not sat with said nephew. In fact nearly as far away as you can get (John Charles Stand).

Yes but still bang out of order and it's not like it was a winning try.

| Couldn't make the game due to birthday commitments landed me in a Llandudno pub with a Wigan fan and a Saints fan! I've heard it said on here before but never from the horses mouth but now I have. The Saints fan said, word for word, "I know you won the Grand Final but Saints are still the best team."
