Decent win and could have got some payback not conceding a penalty off Struijk.

Messlier`s dead ball kicks need to find the man more.
Piroe on a couple or so occasions I have to say if that was Bamford I personally would be slating him.
Rutter brilliant at creating but his finishing needs some work.
Positives the defence solid across the park, Summerville and James scaring the pants off defenders and the cameo by Joseph looks promising.
And finally when are Ipswich going to implode ffs?

never a penalty off strjuik. hit his elbow as he was slipping.
referee was excellent. piroe wasn't quite on it but he was way deeper than bamford would have been. really tough game. they were no mugs.
for me the big begatives were the final passes. bit more care from rutter and James and we are 3/4 up at half time

I was watching the game on iFollow and it always makes me laugh when the coverage is from our opponents on the day.
They were crying out for 2 pens that didn`t go their way and how Byram went down faking injury as Blackburn were getting on top and we were holding the game up only for Byram to get subbed.
From the angles shown on tv it looked like Struijk blocked the cross with his arm.
Agree about Piroe Tad playing deeper than Bamford.
My point was around the times he lost the ball or his final pass was off and had that been Bamford I would be slating him.
I also thought Rutter missed a couple of chances one from a great cross by James that he did not commit to whereas a goalscoring CF would have been on it.

Byram out for 3 weeks. Bad timing that with the games we have over Xmas period..... fingers crossed Spence hits ground running. Farke wants reinforcements at LB from his comments yesterday and it sounds like he's been looking at that for a while so hopefully we'll act quickly in Jan.

looked leggy. Sunderland wernt great either. not sure how it came over on TV but the atmosphere was dreadful apart from last 5 minutes.

Another disappointing midweek performance. Too many sloppy passes and sloppy touches. Sunderland seemed to have a game plan, and executed it well. I'm not sure what ours was. Gnonto should have been on for James much sooner, when teams drop back and don't leave space in behind, he's not going to be as effective because he doesn't have the technical ability to keep the ball in traffic with his back to goal.

Didn’t fancy us to win tonight thought it would be a draw. Wonder if illness running through camp played a part.. farke left subs too late but he’s been bang on to date so will leave that there.

Have to win next 2 which includes Ipswich at home to have any chance of top 2 now imo. We’re a bit unlucky that Ipswich and Leicester are having a record breaking season. It’s a tough league is this and we’re still a player or two short imo particularly at left back and another option at 10.. big big two weeks ahead

Poor all round performance tonight other than Messliers top class save.
Rutter again trying too many fancy flicks and lost the ball quite a lot.
James I agree JB should have come off on the hour mark for Gnonto.
Gray caught out at the back for their goal when he should have moved out in line with the other defenders.
Struijk another bad clearance leading up to their goal that`s 3 in 4 games for Struijk.
Also strange taking Spence off as I would have taken Gray off and moved Spence to RB.
Ampadu again below par along with Piroe.
I think it showed last night we are not a top 2 team and I would put us fighting for 4th/5th/6th with Sunderland and West Brom.
