Anyone remember back the the second and last season of Paris on SL ?
IIRC, the club was in such a mess at the time it was controlled by two well-known RFL appointed directors.
IIRC, didn't the many hordes that played for them that season spend most of their time living and working in the UK and only going to Paris (with the away team) on tourist visas to by-pass French employment law ?

I understand the issue of the RFL being a governing body only, but TBH I would have thought that Celtic should have been very closely monitored from as soon as they were given the franchise, because a shedload of credibility rides with them. I do not understand why anyone should be gleeful at the prospect of them going belly up/getting kicked out, because that would be a very bad day for the game as a whole IMO.
The most disappointing thing for me about Celtic is that the whole show seems to have been run in a very amateurish way - starting with recruitment. IMO if they are to succeed they need to get themselves a credible coach and recruit more English players on long-term loan deals.
