| Quote: KaeruJim "Crikey come on. Vast majority of that list we were right to let go. Hall we couldn't / wouldn't afford to bring back when he returned from NRL. Walters we didn't want to leave. Dupree was a miss but he could have attitude problems (or did), who knows.'"
Agree Jim that 90% of the calls appeared correct at the time. Probably 75% of the players however seem to have improved after leaving Leeds and while all circumstance will be different that should raise some questions for the club particularly as we have a lot of young players currently at the club.

| Harrison was never a Leeds player was he? Just had him on loan during covid.
Dupree had to go the long way round to develop, it happens.
I like Mulhern, but at the time we had a much better pack.
King was slated on all quarters for not being good enough to take a quota spot and repeatedly getting HIA.
Could go on but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

| So, if Lumb ends up playing himself into Fusitua's wing spot, how does that make the decision to sign Ryan Hall look for next year? Early days yet of course, but it was a promising debut in difficult circumstances for Leeds. I notice Lumb didn't score any more after the Momster went off - coincidence?

| I thought the total opposite to be honest and thought that Hall being brought in would only help people like Lumb, Roberts, McCormack etc. His knowledge and him giving them tips can only be good as he plays out his final year and they gain from that

I agree with this. Also think it helps Hall has openly said it’ll be his last year. Means the younger end can see that path isn’t blocked.

| What’s Ava up to these days? Based on his performances for us - albeit in 2020 - he’d be just what we need (aside from a new coach).

| Out of contract players able to talk to other clubs from tomorrow (officially).
James Donaldson, David Fusitua, Corey Johnson, Rhyse Martin, Tom Nicholson-Watton, Luis Roberts are all out of contract with us.
Think it’s already apparent with the signing of Hall that Fusitua is leaving.
I won’t be surprised if Donaldson, Johnson and Roberts join that list. Roberts only because Edgell, J Smith, McCormack, Lumb are highly rated at the club.

Martin aside I am not sure that the OOC players will be top of other clubs list to phone first!

| If we can keep Martin / no good strike BR available i would for a year or two.TNW we should keep too.
Hopefully Fusi, Donaldson etc are moving on no matter what.

1157.jpg It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.:1157.jpg |

| Shame about CJ, he could have been the answer to the hooking role if he hadn't taken the time out or had come back stronger. I'd look to retain Martin and think TNW has signed again already, but the others can all leave with varying degrees of thanks. I wouldn't be surprised to see other players in contract also leaving too.

Which Leeds player currently contracted do you believe would be offered a better deal elsewhere that means they would request a contract release? Don't see any likely bits for players filling cap space! Best we can hope for is a couple of quality additions in the pack. Ideally a prop and a big second row of the fitzgibbon/Sironen mould and hopefully a better coached structured team.If we get the pack right and approach games differently from a tactical basis we could look a completely different team. The level of injuries we have had in the threequarters the last couple of years to me is connected to the amount of donkey work they have to do out of defence. Not sure if the budget stretches that far but its McMeekan and an experienced NRL prop for me and go with the kids in the backs.
