| So he's going to beat his record on games played in the negative.
Excellent.

| We should have let him go at the end of last year and brought in a UK winger and an O/S prop.
Poor recruitment decision.
And this is not hindsight, this was totally predictable.

Someone like Swift would have been a good signing at the start of the season and like you say bring in an overseas prop.
I also feel us missing out on Fitzgibbon was a bad mistake.

| It's all irrelevant anyway, Smith has got the spine he's hand picked and we are still a shambles.

| At least Hall solves the wing issue, gets us a QS and likely decent chunk of cap space.
Anything less than quality signings in 25 can't be blamed on cap/QS etc

| While most of them are too old or still of questionable value, the number of quality forwards in their 20s is alarming, given the weaknesses in our current pack. I thought Mulhern and Harrison both showed promise for us, why did we get rid? Letting go of Dupree also seems to have been a big mistake by Leeds.

| Crikey come on. Vast majority of that list we were right to let go. Hall we couldn't / wouldn't afford to bring back when he returned from NRL. Walters we didn't want to leave. Dupree was a miss but he could have attitude problems (or did), who knows.

Agree Jim that 90% of the calls appeared correct at the time. Probably 75% of the players however seem to have improved after leaving Leeds and while all circumstance will be different that should raise some questions for the club particularly as we have a lot of young players currently at the club.

| Harrison was never a Leeds player was he? Just had him on loan during covid.
Dupree had to go the long way round to develop, it happens.
I like Mulhern, but at the time we had a much better pack.
King was slated on all quarters for not being good enough to take a quota spot and repeatedly getting HIA.
Could go on but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

| So, if Lumb ends up playing himself into Fusitua's wing spot, how does that make the decision to sign Ryan Hall look for next year? Early days yet of course, but it was a promising debut in difficult circumstances for Leeds. I notice Lumb didn't score any more after the Momster went off - coincidence?
