| I agree, our detoriorating league form seems to have started from the hiding in more ways than one at Magic.

yeah, that 'hiding' where we lost by 4 points and Moon had a try that would have won the game scratched off.

| Scorline showed a close game, but Wigan really gave it to us and were worthy winners and I don't think we have been the same since in my opinion.

Some peopel need to get their story straight.
'Wigan out-enthused us and played uss off the park'
'Wigan handed us points but we were terrible'
Which one is it?
Face it, Mac-Haters. The difference between 6th and 1st for us over the course of the season is 28 points. That's how many points, scored in the right place, would have seen us romping to a LLS win. Let's not also forget the likes of Moon & Briscoe's disallowed tries or Watkins' foot in touch at London.
Leeds have not been far off the pace this year - evidenced by our beating the team that are going to win the LLS twice from three occasions.

And none for Castleford Tigers. Bye!:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1140.jpg |

| Since Hull KR are towelling Wakefield, they will move to fifth from bottom.
This means that we will have lost to all of the bottom four.
Still, they were all close games, so not to worry, eh?

It's all part of the masterplan. They had to lose against a few of the whipping boy rabble so everyone would turn against them and they get written off.

A, no need to spend time and energy "worrying" about sport at all. If we lose we lose, happened before and life as we know it hasn't cease to exist.
B, Wigan, who are most ppl's favourites from the other contenders on here lost to both Wakey and Bradford themselves. What does this tell us about their playoff chances?.........That's right......f**k all.

Whoever wins the title this year will be one of the worst teams in super league history to do so. They'll be quickly confined to the trash can of history. Cas are the only team that can loook themselves in the mirror and feel like they progressed.

That is one of the factors as why Leeds have conceded less points - the quality in SL is as bad as it has ever been - 6th is a humiliation given the quality of the sides in the league.

Another factor is that they defend with good energy and effort (barring the odd lapse). Granted the quality isn't S good in SL, but it was hardly sparkling or much greater in 2012 when we conceded nearly 250 points more so sometimes some credit is perhaps begrudgingly due. Also as for the whole 'quality' thing, whilst ppl drool over how great we performed in 2004, we faced some pretty average teams in at year but it gets overlooked as time passes.....just like 2012 and those who think the league or Leeds were somehow much better than the 2014 model.

| The thing if this was the start of the season and we played these teams we have lost 5 in a row to would we have had the same results? I think not ,but we would have been in trouble if we did.

38511.jpg [b:3v5chy3z]Brian McDermott paraphrased Peter Fox.
"He'd say if we had 13 Bernard Dwyers we wouldn't lose many RL games. It's the same for us with JJB"[/b:3v5chy3z]:38511.jpg |
|
| i think that next season will be brian mac's judgement day and rightly so,as he can then no longer get away with such a lowly league finish as is currently possible under this top 8 play off series.
next season will see this change to a straight top 4 play off series and whereby all sides will not be able to "toss it off in the weekly rounds" anymore in order to just make the cut whilst still being safe in the knowledge that 3 or 4 great play off performances could still make you grand final winners
for all of you brian mac doom mongers on here i would like to ask the question:
in a salary capped competition should it not be deemed a successful season if your club wins one of the two major trophies on offer?
saints will gladly accept the third best trophy on offer as a successful season without a doubt will they not?
some of our posters have grown up on our clubs success' and have not known what barren years without any silverware feels like, especially a challenge cup final win!
imo if brian mac doesn't deliver a top 4 finish or a cc final success in 2015 then he will probably be replaced as head coach,
although this may be a bigger job than most fans think as the next incumbent will have to rebuild a squad without at least jp and kylie, but also with an ageing pack that needs overhauling
which coach out there will be trusted with that responsibility?

I agree. The quality is lower than previous seasons. Wigan look the best team out the and have lost 2 or 3 major parts since last season.
I still think that only leeds wigan and maybe wire can win the gf

I don't think Sinfield will go beyond 2016 either unless he stays on till 2017 and do 20 years since his debut then Mags and Burrow JJB by that time Ablett and Delany will be at the vet stage too.its going to be very interesting ,but we all said let's enjoy it this period while it's here

| Sinfield has already told the club he is retiring at end of 2016, and they have a plan in place for one part.
