Indeed – but you’d have to know which busses to catch and where from – being one who subscribes to the school of thought that suggests that busses are for poor people and I would never trouble myself with actually finding out which bus was going to actually get me to the ground.
Much simpler to have Castle to Ground shuttles – I may have even caught one knowing that I wouldn’t be mixing with the general bus catching populous.

| Unfortunately I was unable to attend Murrayfield due to circumstances at home . Watched it on the telly and loved every minute of it . Yes the pitch wasn't 100% , but it got some hammer over the weekend . Saints say they couldnt play in the sunshine . Soooooo .... they can't play in the sunshine ,or in the rain
Why can't we have a few more 'magic weekends' over the season ?
There are enough football grounds on the M62 corridor that have the capacity to host us . Can almost guarantee that said grounds would be filled to capacity on each weekend .
Keep THE magic weekend as and where it is , but add extras .
I'd go to them . Would you ?

| With regards to why the hot water - my missus drinks black tea and yes you have guessed - we had a tea bag at the ready.
So, the big question I have asked them all is why does hot water cost the same as tea and coffee bearing in mind there are no ingredients and far less overheads in a cup of hot water!
As previously stated they dont charge for hot water at the motorway services.

| I was camping in a little place called linwater where the lady who ran the place was a great host the campsite was tiny and very clean the kids all mingled with st's wigan cas catalan, hudds, warrington and hull FC fans and plenty of leeds fans, they played great with their rugby balls the regular campers that frequent this place said rugby league fans were superb and great to get to know and couldnt believe how well the kids played together till 11pm!! the only downside was the torrential rain and strong winds but thats part of camping, i just wish i had a little more knowlege of how to get to murrayfield we parked up in a car park about 1.5 mile from the ground and it cost me a 2nd mortgage but it was worth it. I agree on there being something a little more for the kids to do but there was a park outside the north stand which they spent quite a while in so it kept them entertained enough to stop them moaning, the only atmosphere in the north stand was the cas fans singing we all hate rhinos!! and i think the fans were too spread out, it wouldn't work but it would be great if they could sell sections of the ground to each set of fans then it may have produced a little more atmosphere.. all in all ive booked my campsite for next year already

| The bars didnt like chanting, the price of beer went up by the hour, some places didnt like groups of 4 or more.No advertising appeared apparent, thus the locals seemed to have little idea of what was happening. The games were mostly unattractive. As for the ground, poor Facilities,Too Dear, middle of no where. For me the highlight of the weekend was cheggers and the Highland Games, and the great Friendship/Banter between all the fans-Great Effort.
The Remedy
1-Cardiff
2-Derby Matches
3-Wetherspoons
4-Promotion of the Event in the Town would help.

Look for a bus stop and wait for a bus that says Murrayfield on it; all the buses that went there appeared to have an wooden board in the window to confirm they went past the ground.
Anyway, I really enjoyed the weekend. The pubs on Rose St were great, even if a few started turning people away because "they felt like it", the city is easy to get around and there's plenty to see and do if you don't just fancy a weekend on the lash.
Not having facilities within the bowl of the stadium was an issue, especially if you were on the Upper Tier, but that's hardly the RFL's fault.
All in all, despite the location of the stadium, I preferred it to Cardiff.

As you could anywhere. Hardly a prerequisite for choosing a venue for RL.

It was still up in the Waverley train station when we arrived early saturday morning with a few lasses handing out flyers and so forth.

Yeah. Cos everyone is going to base their weekend around the quality of the food.
