Aye, we all know your mum. The question is though, do you know which of us is your dad?
As for the game itself and the sensible Bradford fans out there.
I thought Bradford were solid but unspectacular for 60 mins but, as was being mentioned on the Sky coverage, their kicking game pretty much evaporated and they didn't appear to have much else. They also didn't appear to be able to match us when we (eventually!) stepped up a gear, started running the ball in hard and stopped the stupid, ridiculous wonder passes.
There a few dodgy calls for both sides and the penalty try was absolutely the correct call. (and ironically very similar to the Calderwood incident in the 2003 CC Final)
Bradford certainly look improved from last year, but I'd be interested to see how they do when teams effectively shut down their kicking game close to the line.
As for Leeds, first 10 mins we looked sharp, then badly went off the ball. I don't criticise him often but I thought Sinfield was very poor for the first 55/60 mins and didn't steady the ship as much as he should have done. However when we sorted things out, he was vital to our coming back into it.
A few notable mentions to Delaney, Lauitiiti & obviously Jones-Bishop.

Walkers was not a try, unfortunately it touched his elbow.'"
You either need to stop crying on the Leeds board about something that was called correctly, and accept that you lost for more reasons than that one correct call, or you should pack up and go home. I fear it will be a very long season for you if you can't accept decisions like this correct one.

I'm not sure if that was funnier the first, second or third time time someone said it. Either way thanks for your originality and lightning wit.

| On the basis of the comparative playing standards on show in today's game, paying £60 for a season ticket has far more value and is a far wiser investment in leisure time activity than paying £200+ is.
IMMHOO of course.

| We were going to go for something original but your non stop pishing and whinging about non existent happenings during Leeds Vs dulls games is becoming less original Everytime we play your rabble. RL is an 80min game, not 60. You competed with us for 60 mins, took your feet of the gas, popped the champagne corks and we came back and walked all over you. Congrats, you are the new wakey.

| Quote: Keith Swiftcorn "NRL Average Attendances
2005
Firstly I am not for one minute suggesting SL compares to the NRL in any shape or form other than each team has 13 players, the game lasts 80 minutes and SL use an oval ball.
In 2005 they did not have the turgid wrestle as Wests showed - brought in primarily by Bellamy in 07 and used extensively in 08, no surprise McGuire was adept at its use!! - not unsurprisingly attendances started to fall as spectators were bored rigid with the product on offer - the introduction of two refs was a targeted attempt to speed up the ruck and the wrestle has thankfully given way to the silky skills that faster rucks provide. Punters want to watch the likes of Benji Marshall and Jonathan Thurston not a ruck that takes 10 seconds plus to clear.
I would much rather watch the pace of game of today's games than the stuff served up by Wigan where they had three men in every tackle and the PTB was pedestrian at best - cheating at worst.

In clear contrast to the Wellens one when he was clearly in the field, yet a drop out was given

And the above proves what exactly?
That good players are able to adapt to differing interpretations of the law - points scored doesn't equate to quality as we see every week in the SL. Higher skilled attacked is matched by higher skilled more athletic defense that doesn't have to rely on slowing the PTB down to a snails pace - simply concept even for you Jeff!!

| I thought we looked dangerous with the ball, we did make a lot errors by trying to force the pass a bit too much, but hopefully as the season goes on we'll cut the mistakes out. I would like to think our discipline will improve as the players get used to the new interpretations of some of the rules, and to be fair I think there has been a lot of penalties given in all the games this weekend and I think thats usually the case at this stage of the season. Our defending from kicks was very poor and needs some work, I thought oce we started to put pressure on the Bradford kicker the quality of their kicks deteriorated - we need to do this consistantly.
Overall it was a very patchy performance but we showed a lot of quality at times - Webb, Buderus, BJB and Ali all looked sharp and if we can sort one or two things out we'll go OK this season. Don't forget we've still go Peacock, McGuire, and Huraki to come back.

| Quote: bigchris " The The pass for the Lauititi try was a 50/50 call'" Which Lautiti try would that be then?
On the first couple of pages of the thread you have already mistakenly referred to Ganson awarding us a penalty rather than a scrum feed following the Briggs knock on.
If you want a sensible discussion a prerequisite would be an ability to properly recognize what actually happened during the game which is clearly beyond you. Why should we give any credence to your opinion as to what constitutes a knock on when you lack the ability to differentiate between try scorers, penalties and scrum feeds?
You're not looking for sensible discussion, you're looking to whine about the result.
