It's another example of why the ref's call is rubbish and needs to go. If the ref feels confident it's a try then just give the try.

Still, it was a great game, and a great atmosphere. Penrith had enough chances to win, regardless of the referee.

In fairness in decades of watching us try to compete with the Aussies I've never seen them knowingly give the pommies an even break. As others have said, the refs call is a farce and leads to nothing but controversy. I'm probably in a minority if one but I could happily live without the video ref. Totally removes the drama from great moments. BTW - there are plenty of video ref howlers in the NRL.

But that's just how it goes. Wigan would have got nothing over there.

No matter how much we dislike other SL teams, I always support our team in the WCC.
Love sticking it up the Aussies in any sport.
And that doesn't happen too often in RL.
