Wigan deserved that for effort alone. Some dodgy calls imo , but they put everything into that.

Defending Penrith for 80 mins calls or no is some effort. Would so love for Leeds to be in another WCC.

I’m sure Not saying if the game had been played down in Oz every thing would have been perfect or Wigan didn’t deserve it. I would always want a SL team to win! But Wigans first try was very debatable and Penrith having the last ditch effort chalked off was controversial . I personally think the referees decision on both incidents was wrong and had he given his on field decisions the other way round then the video ref would more than likely given No Try Wigan and Try Penrith. So Wigan were lucky. Apart from those decisions Liam Moore did quite well (apart from odd decision or so).
I enjoyed the game and the outcome and yes it was great fo SL and might stop the arrogant Oz Press up for 30 seconds.

If you take the video replay out of it, I reckon I'd have given 2 tries each. Wigan"s first and the French one that got disallowed. Wigan definitely had the luck but I"m very glad they won it. Now let's hope they lose a few in the league.

It's another example of why the ref's call is rubbish and needs to go. If the ref feels confident it's a try then just give the try.

Still, it was a great game, and a great atmosphere. Penrith had enough chances to win, regardless of the referee.

Didn’t watch it but on the radio sounded like Penrith were undercooked for the game.

In fairness in decades of watching us try to compete with the Aussies I've never seen them knowingly give the pommies an even break. As others have said, the refs call is a farce and leads to nothing but controversy. I'm probably in a minority if one but I could happily live without the video ref. Totally removes the drama from great moments. BTW - there are plenty of video ref howlers in the NRL.
