| Honestly feel robbed at the beginning of the game with the double movement try and then at the end with the lees knock on.
Not justifying how we can go in with a 12 point lead and lose that game without some horrible decisions by Robert Hicks.
Interestingly I believe he’s been involved in 3/4 of our games this season.

| Ok we didn’t get a few 50/50 calls tonight but we lost the game through some poor play again. Frustrating because we’d done brilliantly to come back after first 10 mins and really trouble Saints.
Very happy with the performance if not result. The boys really tipped in again. Thought our pack was beaten again partly due to reshuffle with Merrin up front to accommodate Sutcliffe, and losing Ward again didn’t help. Oledzski had a good stint aside from one dropped ball, Dwyer tried hard.
Looked like we picked up a few injuries, I hope we don’t let Wakefield spoil the party back at HQ next week...
I don’t think that’s an easy fixture.

| Quote: Les Norton "I stopped reading when you started slagging Merrin. He’s quality.
That was one of the best attacking performance I’ve seen from us for some time. The movement off the ball is on a different level to anything I’ve seen from us for some time.
Dwyer was fantastic. If Parcell was available tonight we’d have won. They’re both quality.
Our main problem is ruck control and hard yards. We rarely get a 3rd man into the tackle to slow their play the ball down, and we need a big metre making prop.'"
Not slagging but he has yet to show me personally why he's our main marquee some not through his own fault playing out of position but one on one missed tackles from a former State of Origin and Aussie test forward is not ok in my book done it more than once this season with players running over top of him not like he's at 11 stone half back he knows how to get his body in way and secure the ball.
Also nobody asked you to read my comment

| Good to watch tonight, some really good attacking play.
We need some line speed; in fact our line needs to move full stop. Too many sets start on their line and end on ours.
Hicks? Dreadful.
Dwyer was the best I've seen him.

I’ll say this, Dwyer was the best 9 on the pitch tonight. Despite what some say, we’re very luck to have Parcell and Dwyer. Roby has been one of my favourite players over the years, one of the best players of the SL era, but tonight Dwyer outshone him and deserves credit

Mmm depends how you judge. Running game, yes tonight, probably. Dwyer put a big dig in. But if you look at defence technique, game nous and particularly the service from dummy half, Roby still wins IMO. Dwyer certainly did well though and that’s not where we lost the game.

| Once you’d turned it on, I thought there would be only one winner.
Hurrell is by far the best centre in the league. Great player.
Lolohea’s defence is a major concern on your right edge. They stole metres all night down there.

Yes I want Tui to work out but our right side defence with him, Sutcliffe and Watkins back from injury looks leaky.
We looked pretty good in patches going forward.
Still a few players short of the top sides, but we know that.

I think somebody mentioned your a couple of props short and I have to agree. Dwyer and Parcell combination will be deadly this season if you get on the front foot. Judging by tonight there’s room for improvement but you look better than last season.
Plus with Wigan and Saints away over and done with, it should create easier run ins thoughout the season.

| Played 4 games lost 3 games all away from home and of the 3 games only Warrington was miles better. Tonight's display was great going forward, but again suspect in defence, and playing alongside a suspect referee, we was never going to win this game with Hicks in charge. After the Wigan game , and the ref there was terrible Hicks as sunk to a new low when using the term impartial. The guy is a joke, he plays to the home crowd and any 50/50 call goes to the home side, even Sky picked up on the Saints knock on, 10 metres out 5 minutes left, Leeds pressing forward, he choose to miss it and gave saints the scrum, the ref has blinkers on. That was the most embarrassing performance I have seen from a so called professional referee in a long time so bad it was shocking.
Last bit, injuries and performance, some players last year were given a warning our high paid players sat in the stand with injuries, again Ward out injured, isn't it about time he retired , he is so injury prone it's unbelievable.

| I'm going to tell you what i thought as a Saints fan about your team tonight.
I thought after going 10-0 down you showed some grit and didn't let heads go down, you moved the ball quickly and well from one side of the pitch to the other,Hurrell caused all kinds of trouble in the first half and we didn't really have an answer to that. The end of the first half came just at the right time for us.
Second half you didn't have a lot of the ball and had to defend a lot and it told in the end, there was some bad defence in your own 20. When you did have the ball and it became apparent that we had changed a bit and had Hurrell wrapped up then there didn't seem a plan B.
The ref missed a few things for both teams, but as mentioned the knock on he gave us near the end was obvious to everyone that it should of been a Leeds scrum,i'm not sure you would of scored, but you should of at least had the chance to.
We targeted Lolohea in defence and he gave up so much easy ground it should of been obvious to the coaching team that something should of been done. Overall Leeds looked good in patches and poor in others,as the season goes by things will tighten up and get better. You still need a hard running prop and a better game managing halfback though.

I’m not sure, Dwyer played out of his skin. Roby has the luxury of a better set of props.
Don’t get me wrong, Roby is the the better player, not many are as good as Roby, including NRL. But tonight, Dwyer was outstanding. If only we had a couple of decent props.....

Yep. I’ve never seen that decision given before despite seeing hundreds, if not thousands, of examples of the same thing.

Reminiscent of Peacock being penalised for offside as we kicked off. Never seen anyone else penalised for it and he got done twice.

I agree 100%. Really encouraged by attacking shape tonight.
