| Some good news regarding Oledski. Should be released from hospital later today and no long term damage.

| He could have been replaced after the season had started but my point was recruitment would have been much easier had the club known well in advance.

| Quote: The Magic Rat "Not replacing Galloway has proved a costly mistake. The blame for that could be laid at the door of GH and BM but Galloway also shares some responsibility. He had a contract for this season and made it his intention to play on despite the injury setback. To then retire after the season had started left the club in a tough position to try and replace him. If the decision was made due to medical advice then I'm not sure anyone can be "blamed" .'"
I think GH holds the purse strings and has historically kept recruitment to himself so he has to be responsible for a failure to replace Galloway and Sinfield too. The coach can only do so much with the quality he has available and I do not think any of the other sides have have half their starting sides out injured for almost every game this year.
The cumulative effect of losing so many of our best players and on occasions all of our big men has taken the edge off those that remained fit and some of the youngsters have had to play longer minutes than is good for their development. Examples of this can be seen in Ward who is now trying too hard to make up for the missing forwards that he is making a lot of errors and Myler who in doing too much defending has been knocked out twice recently and may now have to have a long rest. Also Parcell too has had to do too much work yest some are critical when the coach gives him a rest.

| Last night's display was poor and the coach has to carry some responsibility but things are going against us during the game from an injury point of view.
Last night Golding was selected as interchange hooker. Walker picked up a knock early on but played on until finally hobbling off. This meant Golding playing fullback and Parcell playing the full 80 when there must have been doubts over his fitness. This was evident due to the fact he swapped defensive positions with Lilley, which proved a mistake. Where BM has questions to answer is why play a half fit Parcell and send Dwyer to Fev. I'm not a massive Dwyer fan but he would have done a job in defence. Lilley created nothing in attack after Myler went off, but after getting run over for 80 mins it's hardly surprising.

| he didn't give parcell a rest. a rest is a game off. leaving him on the bench with NO hooker starting in a big game was bloody stupid not resting him. he came on after 10 minutes because he realised had messed up

| Quote: mattsrhinos1978 "Your point is pointless. Galloway dosnt play for us anymore. Cas didnt have garry lo, again, not worth mentioning in a who's got more missing debate, because he dosnt play for them any more either. Regardless of who wins the more injuries debate, its pretty close, whichever way you lean, whats not pretty close is the performances of the two teams without there missing players.
One team brings there backups into a well coached, organized, structured team with a very clear gameplan, which gives there backups every chance to succeed and play good rugby. The other team, us, brings its backups into an unorganized mess with nothing resembling a gameplan or an ounce of structure, giving the players very little help if any in the way of coaching.'"
Galloway retired after the season started and has not been replaced. So this is a major factor for the coach. Cas have just this recruited a half back pivot who played a big part in their victory last night and had nothing to do with being a well coached and structured team. Cas have not always looked "a well coached, organised, structured team with a very clear gameplan etc" this season. If the players on the park do not stick with the game plan or make silly errors in a match you cannot blame the coach.

| so cas signed a championship player and that made the difference? hardly. like Wigan they have structure so when a player comes in it's seamless.
McDermott was perfect for the sinfield team as he let them play what was in front of them. you can't do it with this set of players but he's trying. and failing miserably. but you keep telling yourself it will be ok

When Parcell is on the bench he is having a rest. He has been carrying an injury and had a poor game against Hull KR missing a lot of tackles she stared on the bench against Warrington. He also stared on the bench against Catalans when Dwyer was fit again. In both cases this was to give him a rest especially from the early game physical contact.

The concept of being started on the bench to have a rest is 20 years out of date.
Do you not think Parcell was started on the bench against Warrington due to the frustration he showed at being inexplicably substituted at Hull KR?

| Ooh doing it tough. Erm injuries. Arrrr losing big men. Erm things going wrong. Yes brian we get it as we have the last 3 months. Other teams have injuries and cope better. It's time you spoke with GH and asked him to spend big on new players after all he's lined his own pockets for 20 years
