And I may be jumping the gun a bit here but if Walker continues in the same vein of form he has started he could/will be the first choice fullback for many years perhaps. So with Golding having signed a 5 year deal, what does he need to do to get in the team? I wouldn't like to see that amount of potential talent getting the odd game each year or playing champ rugby on dual reg. or on loan. He could end up becoming very wasted indeed. On the other hand Keinhorst is in his last year of contract, beaten to the no. 4 shirt by Sutcliffe, playing in games/friendlies for basically the academy team and also not getting any regular game time since his injury last year. I don't see him featuring much and will leave at the end of the year. Would he be a loss to us?'"
Walker has a real desire to be first choice full back and took some really difficult high balls last night. I think his drive will mean he will outperform Golding in next few years. However, I think Golding could and should get a fair amount of game time this year. walker took a head shot last week at Fev and last night v wire and I think will need to be rested quite regularly for his own good. Keinhorst is a good pro but will probably need to move to get regular games at centre. He is a bit too small to play back row for mine. Will depend if he is happy to be a squad player or wants more game time an dpossibly more coin somewhere like hull KR. Good gutsy effort last night and 2 points we don't usually pick up. Wire seemed to be trying quite a few new things. In particular at times having the first receiver a long way from the ruck and looking to spread the play wide quickly. Roberts looks a very good ball handler. His high kicks were moving all over the place. Showed promise to me. How he goes over a full year could be key for wire. However, SL history is littered with Aussie halves who have flattered to deceive. Wire may need a few results to get confidence going. Interesting what McD said pre- season of how the spectre of the middle eights cast a shadow over us last year up until last couple of months of the season. Wire are probably feeling the same.

There're lots of vegan protein powders nowadays. They're usually made from think like soy, hemp, brown rice, peas, and quinoa.
You don't necessarily need protein powders anyway as long as you're eating enough. Of all the nutrients, vitamins, minerals and amino acids you need, protein is one of the easiest to get

| For those who've watched the NRL over the years, Jack Walker really reminds me of Brett Stewart.
Seems to glide around the park and always be in the right place at the right time. Very impressive.

Does he have the pace of a Brett Stewart though? Yet to see him really fly down the field but didn't see much of him in the academy
Speaking of NRL stars, how good will it be for Walker/ Golding to play against probably the best fullback of the last 50 years in Slater

One thing last year has done has raised expectations at Castleford. It was suggested last year that Powell or the players don't have anywhere near the level of pressure, expectation and criticism on them to deliver as a McDermott/Leeds or Wane/Wigan.

| Disappointing start from HKR. Hopefully we avoid any complacency or one eye on Melbourne and get the job done against them at Elland Road. Going to and back from Australia with 4 points from 4 safely under our belts will arguably only help as we aren't worrying about a slow League start.

Me neither although I do recall him being run down by Gareth Ellis from what looked a potential scoring position in last year's play offs. That might have been down to the angle from which I was watching though I was still surprised to see him caught.

If a starting winger goes down injured for a while would be interesting to see if they kept Handley as backup or gave Golding a shot there. Keinhorst I think has turned into a very good centre after plenty of initial criticism when he made the team in 2012. He could be a starting centre for a lot of teams in SL (hell even at favourites Saints I'd have him over Ryan Morgan) so wouldn't begrudge him moving on next year if he can't get a game. Shame as you know if Watkins or Sutcliffe get injured we have a good replacement but won't want to be backup forever. In a Salary cap sport it's great to have those level of backups for a while but realistically they'll want to move on after a while.

I watched Jack in 16s and 19s where he scored plenty of long range tries. I wouldn't say he has blistering pace but is certainly quick enough.
It's amazing how he has grown in last 12 months tho and as his body gets stronger with all the weight training it's to hope he doesn't lose any speed
He's one of them players like Iestyn Harris that always seems to have time when in possession and he has great footwork. For his age the kid is some talent.

Spot on - whilst it's nice to see them wallow in misery, if you replace Powell/Roberts/Gale with McDermott/Golding/McGuire they're exactly where we were this time last year, dodgy hair transplant notwithstanding...
Not that they've got a fraction of the character our lads have.
