This has to be the worst thread ever. Judge it at the end of the season at the very very earliest. We never won anything under Tony Smith for 2 and a half years after his first year of success.

Tony Smith has a reputation for running a tight ship re discipline. Bluey gives the impression he's more chummyy with the players than TS was. That's not a bad thing perhaps but maybe the squad aren't as concerned about behind the scenes rollickings re discipline than they were under Tony? Just a thought.....that said I wouldn't change Bailey's discipline in the league match against Saints  |

Its as though McClennan is trying to get the team to play his style of rugby league which lets be honest aint working. Last night for example we threw the ball about like the leeds we know and twice bradford couldnt get near us.

 He's doing his best with what he's got...however we started the season obviously lacking in the three-quarters, and it shows...time we forgot about the NZ back row road-hog, and started looking for a Centre |

You've lost 4 games in 2009. Two against a good Saints side, one against Manly who played well, and one against Bradford which you should have probably won. But you can't be expecting to win every game. Your result against Bradford just showed how bruising a match last Sunday was for both sides IMO.
Anybody calling for Bluey to be sacked at this stage is clueless.

And I don't think (despite the title of this thread) anyone has. Unlike then Hull board, where after their best start to a season in living memory there are hoards of "experts" calling for the head of Agar (probably wanting him replaced by an Australian with no coaching experience like Cats have disasterously done). |

I don't think McClennen should go but the game was bruising for both sides, however you still managed to win away at Wigan (who have been in better form than Bradford...just!) and I would expect to win all our home games really! |

There are no trophies dished out by the end of April. McClennan delivered against the odds last year as he did in the Tri-Nations final. There'll always be ups and downs during the season and if you fell off the pace at the top into the main pack there may be valid question marks over his contribution. At the moment I don't think there are valid questions yet.
