Oh well so as long that is what happened in the past its ok to have our lowest finish in SL for over a decade whilst also losing 5 in a row and to the bottom 4 Teams!

No it's not. It's nothing like. It might have same names on paper, but that is different.

Yeah, they went into the playoffs without any major trophies.

| Despite our flaws (and I admit we have our flaws) we've just finished our season as the team who was conceded the fewest points, so hardly the shambles some will make out over the next 48 hours I'm sure.
Look back at 2012
Was it losing at Bradford 12-4? Losing at home to Wigan 50-8? Being 30 points down to Warrington after as many minutes? Losing 46-6 to Saints away? Shipping 38 points in defeat to Wakey away? Almost getting 50 past us at Hudds compared to just the 12 this year? That made the side much better? Was it that our sub prop options were so much better with Griffin and Moore to pick from?

If your point is that we've been awful in the regular season for the past four years then you made it very well

No we haven't been awful this year on the whole, maybe the last 5 rounds (actually we did damn well against Saints in the circumstances, so 4).
For a team to concede just over 400 points in a season and be considered "awful" says more about the posters RL knowledge than the team.
P.S. That's not me saying the team is great, as it clearly needs to improve in areas.....but let's not drop to the OTT reactions of 2011/12......do you forget how that ended for you? "Tonight's for you" ring a bell?

Sixth in a table of fourteen is awful for Leeds, whatever the For and Against. This can be washed away by the post-season, but that wasn't what we were talking about.

| Are we talking about the team that comfortably beat Warrington in the semi final of the CC and then the likely winners of the LL shield two weeks later? Or the side that lost to the Bulls and Hull? They have largely the same names on paper but clearly aren't the same side.
I'm not sure the side that beat Warrington in the Cup looked any worse than the one that won the GF against them two years ago. Props two years older - check. Better 1-5 than 2 years ago - check. The rest probably not a whole lot different.

| Said it before, thanks McDermott but it's time for change.
Some really poor league finishes.
I think we are kidding ourselves that we have much chance in the play-offs after losing 5 in a row against 4 in the lowest places in the league and a team in poor form (saints)

| Been a 3 game season. Macdermott deserves massive praise for the game plans and performances v saints, Warrington and cas in the cup. Odd game apart it's been absolute garbage and he has take the criticism for that.

1157.jpg It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.:1157.jpg |

| It's a good job the cup was so late in the season or we would be looking at missing the top 8 given our relegation form we have shown in the second half of the league this year.

| 5th, 5th, 3rd & 6th is pretty abysmal considering the talent he has had at his disposal.
He sure does not give value for money for the hardened supporter who go to all the regular season games.

icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg |

No its not - the key players are significantly worse than they were then - Sinfield is nowhere near the player he was, he has been very poor this year, Peacock whilst closer than Sinfield to 2012 he hasn't had the impact he did, McGuire is slower and Burrow has less impact - as for JJB and Bailey the less said the better. This is an ageing side that has struggled to compete with the better sides in SL in SL. Its form in the second half of the season has been nothing short of pathetic - I can't see Wigan being too worried about pitching up against this side nor Huddersfield nor Warrington, nor Saints.
