Huge, huge effort from Leeds tonight, and I hope it brings them a lot more respect from the "experts" on here than they've been given in recent times. We went toe to toe with Wigan for the entire match, and could so easily have won - I thought the call on the no-try was quite harsh, but then again I guess I'm ever so slightly biased

We looked after Tomkins all match (there were far better options for Man of the Match than him!) and our defence was excellent. Yeah, there were the mistakes along the way (the one leading to Charnley's try was a heartbreaker, but these things happen in rugby - both sides made big mistakes.
I thought Vickery did everything that could have been asked of him today, and I hope all the critics will leave him alone now. The kids were given the gametime so many people have been baying for, and although both stood up really well, they also made mistakes which suggest that taking your time blooding these youngsters instead of throwing pretty much the entire under 19's team in at the same time is definitely the way to go - looks like the coaching team might know what they're doing after all - amazing huh?? I'm sure the "experts" will still find plenty to be critical about, but I thought it was a really good effort from Leeds, and would far prefer to focus on the many positives ratrher than the few negatives.
