Have to agree. Myler has been excellent linking in at full back and makes us a much better attacking team in my opinion.

Sounds like he could be out a couple of weeks. We just cant get a settled team at all.

Myler has turned into one of the best Full Backs in SL (IMO) he adds so much to the attacking structure - similar to what Webb did (I'm not saying he's as good before anyone suggests that).

This game has got Banana skin written all over it but bar the Hull KR game we have been competitive in all the games even with a depleted team I'm hoping we have enough to get over them as I don't think we'll get anything from the games against Warrington or Catalan to be honest.

Absolutely agree with this and would personally say he’s an outsider for the World Cup on current form.

I’m looking forward to tonight and seeing how we go. Looking at it, we have three tough games after this one in Warrington, Catalans H and Catalans A. The club reckon Myler could shave off two weeks due to having no break, it’s just the infection, so he could be back for second Catalans

I think King is turning into a really shrewd signing IMO. He runs hard and is strong in defense, hes cut out the silly errors from the start of the season too which helps!

I like King, think he's worth at least another year. May be a bit naive at times, but makes way more impact than Peteru, who is the equivalent signing.

If we can retain King on decent money it's worth a shout. He has a good physical presence about him and is pretty mobile.

I'm pretty confident about Leigh if Agar can find the right plan. I'm also confident we can give Warrington a game too, would expect some more troops back for that one and most will have had a decent rest.

Re Myler, again agree he's gone well at FB. Had his best games there for us rather than in the halves. The problem I think we'll find is that better sides, and bigger games, will expose his defence at the back. While we have a pretty dominant pack he's not put under too much pressure, but I still feel we need someone else there (Walker or AN Other) if we're going to get into legacy building again.

I wouldn't expect Walker to be able to string 2 games together. Biscuit ankles. Amazing talent, but like Stevie Ward, their bodies just won't let them do what's required.

Agreed re: his defence. I feel like a full back 10 years ago would be peppered with high balls and found out if not up to it. Fortunately, the quality of attacking kicks nowadays is less effective and players such as Eden and Dixon can get away with not being great under the high ball more so.

Another thing Myler lacks (and I'm not having a go at him as he has been good for us), is pace. Having someone with the afterburners out the back is really useful.

In the old days we had several players who were a chance at long-range scores from the back if they made a break, the current side really lacks that (think Johnstone running through us like a knife through butter in recent years...).

Handley's reasonable but pretty much the entire back line otherwise is centre pace at best, with our half backs and current FB slower still. That's one reason I'd quite like Tindall to come through because he is rapid and evasive.

True, they’ve shot themselves in the foot with a sin bin and regular penalties given away. If they can get down our end they may still have a shout. Some of ours look tired. Our ball movement is so much better of late even tonight with no Gale and mYler.
