| I thought a penalty try could only be awarded when a foul prevented a certain try?
Apart from that, hurrell was good, Ava was very good, ditto prior.
Game control was very poor, I thought the pack gave us the platform that should have made it comfortable.
That said, we ended up winning a game we might so easily have lost. Plenty for agar to sort out but better to improve a winning team than turn around a losing one.

I certainly think so

| Quote: Big Jim Slade "Aside from the fact that I didn't see single angle that showed the Cas lad was onside (and it seemed very plausible that he was not), if he was onside then yes, penalty try was the right call. Hurrell played the man and stopped him getting the ball. Odds are he would have scored.'"
I was annoyed they just assumed the got was inside.
For me the interpretation of a penalty try is fouled in the act of scoring or something more certain than we saw last night. He needed to catch the ball cleanly and ground it. I'm not sure either was a given.

| Aren’t you talking about an 8 point try rather than a penalty try?

| One of the worse performance of the season coupled with the worse refereeing performances of the season made this a very poor watch.
Ava and Prior kept us in the game.
Briscoe took his try well and Martin had a steady game.
Other than that and the 2 points there was nothing more to shout about.
Cas clearly came with the rough tactics to put us off our game and instead of playing to our strength we got sucked in to one man rugby.
Was it just me who thought that Myler tipped the ball backwards from the kick that eventually led to Watts try?
I reckon with 13 on the pitch Cas would have beaten us comfortably.
Where`s Bigbof btw?
Still waiting for Gale to get smashed and thinking it`s acceptable to kick out at someone on the floor?
Bet he`s fun to be out with on a night in Ponte

Mylers ‘knock on’ was never a knock on but i thought he had a poor game overall he was out of position for the watts try regardless of a knock on or not.
There’s really not much to take from that game other than we won go back 18 months and we lose that game comfortably.

It was the simplest of catches and only had to fall over so it was a try for sure

| Quote: simonw "Awful yes but considering how many times Cas dropped the ball reckon that could have been a lot worse. They could easily have nicked that game and it's not long ago we would have let them. Ugly and below par yes, but great to see us grinding the points out by hook or by crook. That was a tough old encounter last night, are we assuming it'll be Baby Rhinos again on Thursday?'"
It is a game we need to win so i only forsee the changes being such as Holroyd and Walker coming in and maybe a couple of others

| Anyone fancy a good laugh, head over to casforum.co.uk.
Never read a more pathetic bunch of comments in my life, and I thought the Wigan mob were bad.
Just shows the different stature in clubs, when one is over the moon with a loss.

is That a joke , the guy nearly blew it as he has done before this season , out of all super league wingers he has not grasped the way of finishing under the new rules or does not have the athletic skills to do so

Jesus the ref was bad for both sides and to be fair Cas probably got the worst of the calls but some of the stuff they put on is bordering on them being classed as Fruit Cakes

I saw one last night calling for Cas to abandon the game at half time, and not come back out in protest. Brilliant

| I dont think the penalty try was cut and dried, he didn't have the ball in his hand. had still got to catch it and place down. IMO it should of been a penalty and a sin bin for a pro foul.
The brain explosion by the whole team in the dying seconds of the 1st half kept Cas in the game, shouldnt really blame just Cam Smith, they were all keeping the ball alive and playing like we were 2 behind in the dying seconds of the game.
A win is a win, wasn't pretty by either side. all you can try and do is beat what's in front of you, they came to spoil and did it reasonably well
Will be interesting to see what mix of a team is put out against Wakey

I see the Cas lot didn’t pick up on the knock on by them, just before Smith kicked it.
Definitely go with whacker at FB against Wakefield, Myler was horrendous last night .
