Really? Briscoe is too often out of position on the wing, which is a pre-requisite for a FB, never mind the fact he normally runs sideways when he gets the ball and, judging from last week, barely gets off the ground when receiving the high kick. If we're that short we should give the young 'uns a a chance, rather than playing struggling players out of position.

I would prefer a young un' too but ask those who watch 19's on here ( i don't so can't comment) there isn't a back ready for the step up yet.
Anyway, i stand by my belief Briscoe is the best option we have at FB from the first team squad with the apparent injuries, and making the least disruptions but i agree on his shortcomings you have pointed out.

The scenario I mentioned was what happens in the event that Golding and Sutcliffe both fail their fitness tests which was why I suggested Ward to centre and Watkins to FB and why I asked about Cameron Smith.
You posted we should keep centres at centre and use half backs at half back. But you did not say who you would play at FB in this situation and despite your reasonable logic it would cause more upheaval as Moon has done OK at 6 and better than the so called other half backs.

And I would have played Ken Thornett. but both are unavailable for different reasons.

That was my suggestion but Tad wants to play centres in the centre which though reasonable, in this case is does not stack up.
If you move Briscoe to FB who do you play on the wing?

| why disrupt by putting square pegs in round holes? play moon and lilley in their positions it's minimal disruption.
as for full back if golding isn't fit then changes would have to be made.
as for your sarcastic dig about thornett was there any need? can't you have a grown up discussion?

You are the one that wants to disrupt but moving Moon who unlike others has done well at 6. You suggested Handley when you must have known he was out injured for a while so why propose the impossible?. And why be so touchy when challenged?
You jumped in with your centres comment without reading the scenario that I posed which was if both Sutcliffe and Golden were out, what would we do. I note you still have not suggested who you would play at FB

| Strong 17 that. Probably the strongest bench we've had all season.

| Would appear McDermott is going to do his usual this Easter, unlike the other coaches.

as I said, we don't know if golding is injured. he isn't. so you can suggest things but others can't? ok then.
on another note it gives Sutcliffe a long run of games to see how he does at centre.

We do, the club and the player have said he'd be fit all week.
