You're probably correct but (failing a quality signing) I'd rather see it go to a regular first grader.

IMO shirts 1 to 13 should be reserved for those established players that have made the grade. The numbers don't have to and often don't correlate to starting positions anymore. One of the centres wears 12, the stand off wears 13, the scrm half wears 6, the hooker wears 7 and the best winger wears 16.

According to pure speculation Keinhurst will have a squad number from the range 20-25. As we know GH is still looking for an experienced, quality centre and if we sign one then he'll have squad number 4. If rumours are right this might be Joel Moon but according to Yorkshire Radio last night we are still searching?

If Keinhorst gets the number four.....surely he becomes a regular first grader icon_biggrin.gifANCE: , plus rather have him as a good prospect than an import player, leaves more cap space, I can imagine there is a large difference in payment and contract between these two options and with regular game time I don't think there will be a big difference in ability or performance.

Also usually the squad numbers are revised each year to represent the probable squad that the coach thinks is his starting 17 plus squad players....it just makes sense...this isn't the NFL or Hockey

I'd be very surprised if Kenhorst gets the no. 4 squad number. He's got potential but no experience and GH has said a priority was recruiting a quality experienced centre. Kenhorst has recently got a new 3 year contract but it's only p/t as he is still at Leeds Met. He will get a squad number in the range 20 - 25.

Roche gone to Sheffield eh? Didn't do right well when he went to Oldham, he was released after 2 games. Good luck to him though. My Rumour Mill tells me that D Smith is talking to Wakey, D Bravo is off to play in Oz in the Toyota Cup (like our 20s level). Maybe Syron is going too. God know what happened to Jered Stewart?????????? Browny going to Dewsbury?????????

I think that Daniel Smith could still make it in SL despite being released by the Rhino's,if he's given the chance.

He has always looked very impressive to me in the academy leagues and although it is a big step up to actually making it as a fully fledged SL player i still believe he could do it

All the best of luck to all of our departing academy players and it's been a pleasure watching you all in action for the blue and amber, i hope that you all have a chance to progress your careers elsewhere and maybe prove the club wrong
