| Quote: Marty Grrrrrrrrrr! "The flight from Sydney to Auckland is 3 hours. The flight to Toronto is between 6 and 7. Its not comparable in terms of travelling across time zones either.
I would count 2 at home 2 away as block fixtures in fairness. They have pretty much so far being playing half a season away and half at home.
Its a bit late though for SL to be crying about this it shouldve been sorted and agreed before Toronto was accepted into the league.
I do think Toronto, if sustainable, are good for the sport and they should be accepted into SL if they gain promotion the sams as any other team. A trip to Toronto would do me nicely.'"
How far Parramatta, Wollongong, Newcastle, Gold Coast, Brisbane and North Queensland Cowboys from Sydney airport? It’s one 6 hour flight a year for an away game shouldn’t be a problem, NRL sides have to fly regularly and as you said if this was an issue they should have never entered league 1 and the Championship

| When I lived in Philadelphia and it looked like Toronto were going into SL I going to combine my trip home and fly up to Toronto watch the game and next day fly home , but circumstances changed and I'm back here .Maybe next year if affordable I might combine my trip to 2nd home Phila and Toronto

2 for some clubs. Plus a play off if they got a home one? Plus the challenge cup?

| Toronto don’t enter the Challenge Cup. 14 teams with home and away fixtures would see off the much disliked loop fixtures meaning only 1 trip to Toronto each, not to mention Championship and League One clubs have managed to play away games in Toronto so Super League clubs should be able to manage it.

| Of course SL can manage it nobody is doubting that but if Toronto play block fixtures it will give them a huge advantage.

Add to that Brisbane and Townsville are coaround 5-6 hours from Auckland similar to Toronto.
I for one will hopefully make the trip to Toronto if I can fit it in.
And as for other away teams it really is not a big deal
I have heard the stumbling block is just one well known Super league chairman from a well known Lancashire club who point blank does not want them in and is stamping his feet.

It is a big issue, a very big issue, jet lag is a pain in the backside and not easy until you are used to it. Travelling 5-6 hours in the same time zone is absolutely nothing the same as travelling to the other side of world.

Professional sports teams with forward planning should be able to manage jet lag quite easily, and phase training schedules Before and after to adjust. it's not like they have to be back to normal and back at a normal job at 8am Monday morning. Plus 5 hour time difference is fairly mild jet lag it's not like a 8-12 hour time difference. You are Totally over blowing the effects, of a flight to Toronto.

| I never seem to suffer with jet lag on the way there but the day after landjng back home is bad.
I dont think jet lag will be too much of an issue but if they are allowed large block fuxtures it will give them a huge advantage in my opinion. If they dont have to travel often and they are playing teams weekly who have travelled it has to be an advantage.

On the flip side it would be a huge disadvantage to them to play alternate home and away.
There needs to be some arrangement whereby they could play 2 or 3 games home, 2 or 3 away etc.

This is a completely sensible solution to any sane person

| I agree 2 or 3 but no more. However i think they are looking at Toronto playing all their home gsmes in a block in the middle of the seasom which is just ridiculous.
