Quote: SaintsFan "Go ahead. In two of them you will see Meli making his usual cockups. There are 13 men on the pitch for each side. Losing a Grand Final isn't down to one man, but Meli can't half make a difference.
'"
At least I'll be able to see Meli. What I won't see is Leon Pryce "always involved"
Quote: SaintsFan "To us you're Leeds. It's only Sky who like to call you champions. '"
ACtually, most people call us champions because, well, erm, we ARE the champions. Weird eh?
Quote: SaintsFan "To be respected as champions in a season when you are the previous year's champions you need to play like champions. '"
respected by whom? We don't need the respect of Saints fans who have made excuse after excuse after excuse every team we beat them. It's rarely accepted by Saints fans that we were the better team. Guess what, this thread is a perfect example. Respect us, don't respect us, I couldn't give a tuppeny . Doesn't take any gloss off the last three Grand Finals for me.
Quote: SaintsFan "Wigan are playing like champions this season'"
Not yet they're not.
Quote: SaintsFan "you are most certainly not.'"
No, we're not but if you were bright the last three years might have made you realise that doesn't necessarily matter.
Quote: SaintsFan "Your purple patch in the first half followed our loss of Eastmond.'"
No it didn't. It began when Eastmond was on. Senior was trampling all over him. Had he stayed on who knows how much joy our potent left hand side attack could have had.
Quote: SaintsFan " We came back at you in the first half, resulting in us going into halftime level.'"
Thanks for the recap. We came back at you as well, remember and, more importantly, stayed ahead of you after 80 mins.
Quote: SaintsFan " We scored first, too, remember? '"
Gosh, that settles it then. That try in the 2nd minute clearly demonstrates you handing us our ar5es.
Quote: SaintsFan "Then in the second half, we crossed the line only to be denied but we were actually eight points ahead of you when we lost Pryce on 58 minutes. Now, granted, in terms of attack, it was all you after that. But then we had lost Eastmond and Pryce and also Dixon (leaving us with no interchanges for 20 minutes). Had you lost Sinfield and McGuire and one of your young forwards, do you think you would have been inspired in attack?'"
Is this all because you were denied the usual "it was raining"? Have Leeds never managed to beat a Saints side with Eastmond and Pryce? I can recall one fairly important game when they did.
Quote: SaintsFan "We still managed to hold you to just four points.'"
Is that good enough for Saints these days? Keeping the score down in defeats to Leeds?
