Yep and the way Handley has played and improved in the 2nd half of this season we’ve got to go with him in my opinion.

| Hall still looks suspect in defence but his running with the ball has been good.

| Forget Hall - even the most average player would look good at Easts.
Make a play for Niall Evalds (for the umpteeth time)

| Rubbish. Hall can muscle up in the NRL. Most SL wingers are too short or skinny or both.

| I'd love to see Tommy Makinson have a go in NRL. Outstanding player.

The games he has played he has been one of the top metre makers in each not something any winger can achieve. He has not been dropped he is injured. If he is fit i expect him to go well in the big games coming up because he is simply a big game player and hasn't gone over there as a chancer or project he is an established international. Lets see.

Agreed, he’s possibly England’s best winger ever. A very strong carrier with the ball and meter maker, excellent in defence, great at catching high balls and an unbelievable finisher.

Not even close. Offiah, Robinson and Hall modern day are all way ahead of him. He has to continue doing what he is doing and proving it on the international stage for another 4 years to get in that bracket.

Makinson proved himself on the international stage when he picked up the golden boot. Did any of those win a golden boot award?
Offiah, Robinson, Hall and Makinson were all great wingers. Offiah and Robinson were both capable of some magic and scoring a try from nothing, but Hall and Makinson are more complete players.

Makinson won the golden boot in a year where the Aussies missed playing and the award was given pretty much on the performances in the Kiwi test series. On that basis he certainly deserved it. When he has produced in several series or WC's against Kiwis AND the Aussies we can have this discussion but he still has a fair way to go to match the other three in greatness for me.

| Makinson is quality, and will inspire the next generation of wingers. But right now he isn't in the class of Offiah and Robinson. They could get the ball anywhere on the pitch and create a chance from nothing. It takes more than 1 good international tournament to be considered in the same bracket as them

| I don't think you can really talk about offiah and makinson in the same breath. The game for wingers was very different when offiah was playing. Makinson is much more the complete player but offiah didn't need to be.

| They are certainly very different wingers. I think it’s fair to say Makinson wouldn’t have scored a lot of the try’s Offiah scored, but at the same time Offiah wouldn’t score a lot of the try’s Makinson does. His finishing in the corner is certainly the best in the World in either code, he should really be marketed as Magic Makinson.
