Knowing GH he would try to get Leeds all the games for the financial kick back no doubt

It should be based on merit and result, if we got all three then it should all be the runner ups that could have a chance at it, obviously one would still miss out, HKR most likely but I don't like it when the RFL can just pick based on the outcomes, should be stated as who from the outset, every club deserves the opportunity if they put themselves in the mix, HKR have played some good stuff this season.

| I think if we win all 3 trophies this season we should be able to pick the other teams we want "alongside us" in the WCC........and then just to upset Wigan, don't pick them....or Saints come to think of it

So should Leeds complete the treble, it will be the Grand Final runners-up (fair enough, to get to the GF you have to be consistent across the season in order to make the top 4) and a team of the RFL's choosing which I'd be very surprised if it wasn't the next highest placed finisher in SL.
The RFL's idea of the World Club Series is to pitch the best against the best, so inviting Hull KR to take part would make something of a mockery of that.

| Not sure how it fits but will this mean that Leeds will have (at the very least) income from a Challenge Cup Final, NZ tour game and a WCC game in the current financial year?
Should be a good set of accounts next published.

| Caddick PLC will be delighted, more opportunities for creative accounting.
Seriously we need the money to pump prime the North Stand development.

31st October year end, so while the first two will fall into the next set of accounts the WCC game won't be recognised until the October 2016 accounts.

| We currently play the chosen NRL team. Finishing top means we'd play the Minor premiers and winning the GF would mean we play the NRL GF winners.

Wonder how this plays into players contracts. Would they get a match fee for this type of fixture, considering the game is set for 2 weeks after the GF, its taking in effect 2 weeks of the off season and holiday time away from the players.......

With majority of the team missing the squad will be made up of academy lads.
Hardaker, Briscoe, Watkins, Hall, Cuthbertson, Ward, Ablett should be in the England squad. JJB, Sutcliffe, Aiton injured. Sinfield, Peacock, Leuluai unavailable to play.
Golding
Handley Keinhorst Moon Jones
McGuire Burrow
Mulhern R Ward Garbutt
Achurch Walters
Singleton
Lilley Milton ? ?

For domestic finals the club lets the players keep the prize money which is exempt from the salary cap. When players go to a lesser club for more money like Calderwood to Wigan for example, they'd do well to think of that.
I'd imagine they will reach a similar arrangement. Get some sponsors in etc and let the players keep the prize money.
I know from conversations with the directors that the club consider the WCC games a real cash bonanzas.

| I still don't see why Peacock & Leuluai can't play in the game v NZ. I understand why Carnegie wouldn't want Sinfield to, although it is only a couple of weeks extra. IIRC most player contracts run til the end of November.

May be they don't want to? It's not just a case of rocking up and playing. They would have to continue to train ahead of the game and it will be a tough game not a friendly knock about. I think there is an insight into the possible reasons in the interview with JP in the CC final program. He was asked about the possibility of playing on, and he shut the idea down completely, talking about the discipline and effort required and the pain to be endured to get fit for match day. It seemed pretty clear that he has enjoyed his career but has no regrets to be leaving the stage to start the next chapter.
With the absence of the three retirees and the absence of our players on international duty, it should be an interesting game from the point of seeing how emerging players are developing.

| Besides which, if you're going to hang your boots up what better way to do it than off the back of a win at Old Trafford in a Grand Final - which will be their aim?
Certainly more of a fitting conclusion than a probable spanking off New Zealand, anyway.
I'd be putting some feelers out to see whether Galloway fancies coming over early though, otherwise that front row is going to look a bit light to be taking on the Kiwi pack without Peacock and Leuluai in it.
