what makes you say that? Whilst I'd never attach the enforcer word to him he's certainly not a pussy even in RL terms. Part of his game is to wind opponents up, and get under their skin, which often results in him getting a punch in the face. Not something I would say a soft person would do |

I was just thinking the same, it's a vivid memory for me too.I think it was Paul Hulme he floored right in front of the ref, live on BBC aswell! |

He's a winder-upper, got punched at least 3 times in the last 18 months or so - Wood, Briers, Wardle - and not retaliated on any, but he's taken them all comfortably so wouldn't say he was soft either.....shame for the ladies as it's starting to ruin his good looks. |

Karl's dad Jack Fairbank was one of the best enforcers for Leeds along with Brian Shaw. Plenty of other real enforcers were around like Rocky Turner and Vince Karalius who you just didn't want to mess with.
