Would you like to explain to us what the "issue" is as you understand it Keith?

| We've got two at Crusaders awaiting clearance also (Hanbury and Winterstein) I've read somewhere that there seems to be a delay in the processing of the applications not the submission of.

| This all seems a huge waste of government time. How much wrong will they have done whilst they have been home visiting their families?!

| It is also worth remembering that according the RLE this week via the Crusaders accounts, we've paid just short of £60K for his services.
I presume that cash isn't subject to some 'administrative delay' in payment and is now sat on the Crusaders bank account somewhere ?
The other question is that wendyball players can come in from just about anywhere and aren't subject to these sort of delays .... How come they can waltz straight in and there's this paperwork headache for us. Indeed, do kick & clap have these sort of problems too ?

| In an interview posted on the club's site Ryan Bailey stated that Weller still hasn't got his visa sorted. Is this right? If yes, are we likely to have him on the pitch on Sunday?
Seems to have been a fiasco.

| If you have a visa, then apply to extend that visa before it expires then your initial visa (and it's permissions/conditions) remains in effect until a decision is made
that he played last year and cant play now suggests to me that the visa wasnt submitted in time
on the subject of football visas vs RL visas - the UKBA does offer premium services for some types of visa and if you are willing to pay then you can get a same day decision (the fees are pretty huge unless you are a seeing them from a footballer's perspective)

I'm not an immigration law expert, but if he's changing employers wouldn't he have needed a whole new work permit and visa anyway rather than being able to extend his current one?

| No information forthcoming from Headingley so surprised if he'll be playing Sunday unless they are goint to surprise everyone by including him at the lasy 'minute'.
Agree if does seem like another fiasco.

is that really how it works? I'm guessing its a massively hefty fee then if we are not willing to pay it

| Quote: The Teacher "Really? I think GH is telling a few porky pies. They may well get their work permit Visa through this week, who know's, but it certainly should have been a concern.
There was obviously some problem for the players still to be waiting now, even though they were originally down for playing a month ago.'"
This guy knew the score.
Seriously, it can be described as nothing but a fiasco when you have a player originally down for playing for the 26th December, and yet still on the 9th February you do not have his Visa through. I can't believe that the department issuing visas is totally at fault here, it is far too long for that. It seems pretty obvious that the Leeds club have messed up somewhere.
But more frustrating is that GH continues to trot out these little porky pies. Saying it will be sorted quickly back on the 24th January.

To be fair to GH, Hauraki on twitter has been hopeful on a number of occasions.
