| I thought a true reflection of the game should have been Saints 47 Leeds 14.

f*ck off
For starters leeds had :donald eastwood lauititi ablett and webb out. They trump the wuality of your injuries.
And 2nd, going the same way as bradford? If you troll at least base some of it on fact. Bradford declined because of financial strain and losing all their best players pretty much at once.

| Both sides had their injuries going in to the game. It should probably have disrupted St Helens more but you'd never have guessed it on the night. Never even heard of this Jamie Foster but you'd be tempted to leave Meli out of the side just for his goal-kicking, 16 from 16 ain't a bad start.
St Helens had two players unable to play for a home nation in Flannery and Puletua while Leeds had three in Delaney, Leuluai and Buderus. So between the two clubs five imports played and seven were sat in the stands.

That surprises me.
He has played at International academy level, and has always been a superb goal kicker, if a little lightweight defensively.

To be honest, I think most Saints fans were (very pleasantly!) shocked at how little our injuries did disrupt us. Including the season-long absence of Soliola, we had Gidley, Meli and Pryce missing plus two of our backups in Dean and Lomax. Everyone was dreading Flannery filling in at centre because he has been so poor there in the past but today he was great.

Saints fans last saw Foster play at first grade in a friendly against Widnes before the 2009 season. He went off injured. He was a very skinny guy back then. He isn't exactly a monster now but he seems to have come through today's match unscathed. His kicking skills have been known to Saints fans all along but we had pretty much given up hope of ever seeing them displayed on the field at first team level. I think he has a 100% record in the under 20s this season but I'm not 100% sure of that.

I think that's fantastic. It's a credit to both teams that they can produce the home grown young players to make that possible.

| I remember one game for the academy and he kicked 5 from 5 out on the right touchline. He didnt even do any fancy build up to the kick. Just placed the ball down, walked away, took one step and pinged it over.

Don't let it. The days when I'd be aware of an Academy aged player before they hit 1st grade is probably about 15 years behind me now. Moving to Lincoln can do that to you.

Rogues, you old devil, you missed the most important thing out, does he support Wigan? or perhaps he has the same postcode as Maurice Clarke

| Maybe if Leeds Just had webb, then no lightweight winger who was easily sheparded into touch, which was the turning point.
