| A few random comments from a neutral.
Hudds support was pathetic, 500 at the most, 15 minutes down the road.
Watkins lacks self belief & will not realise his massive potential until he does. To say he is not a FB is stating the obvious.
I've seen Vickery 3 or 4 times, if he was British he would have been dropped by now, he has not a done anything in attack or defence to impress.
THe first 50 or 60 minutes were poor, not an outstanding player on the pitch apart from 3 kicks from Brough. After that it opened up & improved a tad, quite impressed with Kopczak. Not one Leeds player stood out, strange replacement policy by Mac.

| We looked like we were protecting Sinfield and Peacock last night so my question is, why play them? Apart from that, even though we conceded 32, I thought we were defensively good (line speed/tackling). Their 1st 4 tries came from kicks and our ability to drop the ball on what seemed like every set gave them good field position. I also thought the Watkins "try" was a try. So did the TJ too and he was about a metre away from it. Not that it mattered though because if you cant hold the ball you dont deserve to win a game.

Have a think about what you're saying lad, you're coming across as a right numpty. Surely you should be glad that your team played so well and you got the result, don't know why your obsessing about Leeds fans leaving early. I don't need to tell you that you've gotta be there to be able to leave, the couple of hundred fans that you brought was absolutely pathetic considering you were top of the league. Credit to the 'Udders fans that turned up, they deserve to enjoy performances like that. As for you, you'll probably never be happy in your life while ever your so obsessed about another team and its' fans.

| Brough is good player but sinfield is superior by performing consistently at the highest level for a number of years.
Also he always performs in the big games , grand finals and vital play off games. The giants and brough have yet to succeed at this level. The giants played well and deserved to win but should keep their feet on the ground,it's a long season . Can brough produce that form on a week by week basis,in the past he has not done so. It's a challenge for him and the giants. We shall see at the end of the season,at the moment I have no doubts at all that we are a superior side.
Last night you won a battle, it's highly unlikely you will win a war.

Obsessed about the Leeds fans early because of your numpties slagging off our support. Even you're having a go - there were more than a couple of hundred.
And there was me thinking that you'd made a good post on our forum.
You know, I don't know why I'm even bothering to reply to an in-bred like you.

In my opinion the Leeds and Huddersfield forums are well moderated and have decent contributors, I go on both. I'm open minded about what people have to say about theirs or opposition teams, but can't for life of me understand why fellas like you talk about "hating" opposition fans when their team's just played so well. If someone has had a dig about the small amount of support your team gets, just laugh and tell 'em it's the quality not the quantity. Nobody was talking about "hating" Fartown fans, just a bit of nobble. Enjoy your victory and have a pint for me. I'll save a parking spot for your travelling support next year

You're going to have to remind me where you were at this point last year?
Can you also remind me how confident your lot were at this point last year?
Again, can you let me know what you won last year?

Tell that to the 4,000 or so Leeds fans that turned up at Cas a few weeks back in worse conditions than last night

Oh come off it - you have one of the worst supported teams in the league. Huddersfield is literally 20 minutes down the road and you still only managed to scrape a few hundred at Headingley last night.

You just picked the wrong night. We don't charge any extra for the free sun tan from April onwards Private houses at the rear of the stand and rights of way issues will probably stop the western Terrace ever being covered. I've got a nice Berghaus jacket and a pair of Brasher waterproof boots that keep me dry and warm when I go to places like Cas and Bradford. There's something about standing in the rain that makes you feel like a true fan.

| Huddersfield won because they adapted to the conditions better and used appropriate tactics for those conditions. We contined to do the same things throughout the game and continued to get the same result!
I just have a niggling suspicion that the game would have been different had it been televised, for no other reason than there would have been a video referee who would probably have been invited to judge many of the tries scored/disallowed last night.
The first 4 Huddersfield tries may have been judged to have an offside player heavily involved in the build up or scoring? Did Watkins ground the ball? Was he short?
All these decisions early in a game change the flow of it.
I'm not saying Hudds players were DEFINITELY offside, but the referee would have had the option to check. Also, there would have been more camera angles than Leeds' own feed.

Tell that to the 3,000 + Hull fans that turned up at Headingley on a very cold February night.

I'm sure Paul Anderson would have taken that into account when plotting the evenings tactics and gameplan. There's something to be learned from last nights game, your post alludes to some key areas that I'd hope Mcdermott has also noticed.
