.... And who is that continues to write off Broughton ?
Now Watkins and Broughton as a left wing partnership....that would have been something ! ( Hall on right wing of course )

| If we ever re-sign Broughton I'd imagine G1 & tvoc would have to leave their jobs to focus full time on out-quipping each other.
Worth a whip-round surely?!

The Leeds and Hull coaching staff who worked very closely with him?
Quote: nantwichexile "Now Watkins and Broughton as a left wing partnership....that would have been something ! ( Hall on right wing of course )'" You'd move the best British winger off the left wing for someone with as yet questionable and untapped potential? OK.
Where are you going to play Jones Bishop, Hardaker, Smith and Watkins? Young British threequarters that the Leeds club think represent the future?
Stop pining for what's gone and appreciate what's hear. You can't keep them all and there's still no evidence we made the wrong call.

Yes Sir !
How good is your memory ? Hall started on the right wing and has made further appearances there ...without diminishing his effectiveness.
Since when has playing in one position for England/GB determined where any same said player turns out for his club ?? Or are you saying Sinfield should play hooker for Leeds ( No..don't answer that considering who the club has as its first choice at the moment )
Nice to see you consider Jones Bishop and Hardaker as "threequarters" rather than simply Full Backs.....shows you do have a little more imagination (it could perhaps result in you one day emulating myself and Bloodbath in seeing the potential of certain individuals becoming far more effective second rowers than centres ).
FB: Smith
RW: Hall
RC: BJB
LC: Watkins
LW: Broughton
SO: Hardaker
A fantastic looking GB back-line of the future...and they could have ALL been from the Leeds club.

| I'd be suprised if Hardaker ever plays 6 for Leeds, never mind England!

| Come on guys, all we need to do is use our imagination. Perhaps exile can lend us some of the special tobacco that fires his imagination.

It's precious stuff....... Almost as good the stuff you use that impairs your thoughts sufficiently enough to consider Diskin worthy of idolatry.
Hardaker at SO might seem a slight suggestion of an over active imagination.....but come back to me in five years and tell me the same ( Of course I fully expect you to do so if I'm wrong ).

| Not sure if anyone has called this on here before (although I imagine nantwich must have at some point) but I think Ryan Hall has shown enough signs that centre could be his ultimate position (if Leeds can fill the wings without him.) Big, strong and quick, a good hand off, generally has great hands, including a secure one handed carry and target hitting offload. Tough position defensively but he has no issues in that department generally at the moment so I trust he can adapt.
Whilever Watkins looks uncomfortable in the position (and appears happier on the wing) I'd be interested in seeing Hall having a run inside with Smith/Jones-Bishop and Watkins/Hardaker outside him and Senior.
St Helens appear to have even turned Meli in to a threat by doing something similar.

| Delaney did well to prevent a certain score there.
Broughton it seems has quite a schedule on his plate and appears an exception to the more typical 'big daft lads' type found in League. Makes you wonder just how good he could be if he concentrated on his rugby.
Oh and thanks for the link.

I did indeed ...but can't take sole credit. Another contributor, whose name unfortunately escapes me, made the same suggestion at about the same time.
Good to see somebody else using his Broughton-like-brain and imagination
