| Quote: Exeter Rhino "I understand the frustration with Ward, but he still managed 17 appearances last season.
He's a good player who gives his all for the team when on the field. The fans need to get behind him, instead of jumping on his back. It's not his fault he's suffered with injuries. Hopefully the club can bring in a better fitness regime under Furner and co.'"
he may have started 17 but he only finished about 3, when he does play he ends up on the sidelines with ice on something not fit to return. nor getting on at him, he on paper is one of our best players, but we cannot keep carrying him like this. some players are just incredibly injury prone and ultimately it costs some players a big part off if not there entire career, see Paul Cullen David Creaser, Mike Gregory, Paul Sculthorpe, Nigel Wright. Nigel Wrights career like Ward hardly got going despite huge potential.
really hope he can get fit and have a good long run.

| I thought he was looking good towards the end of 2015 before his awful injury. On his return I thought give hime time to recover and get fully fit before judging him, it was a truely devastating injury and similar has ended carrers before. How much time is he to be given? I really think there is a good player in there, I would love Furner and co to be able to bring it out of him. I really hope for the best of and for him but if he doesnt start to live up to some of the earlier promise he will have to be given a reality check and moved out of Headingly. Once you leave it is a long road back!

I hope you are an athlete extreme if that’s what you call tubby) because he looked good in the interview and certainly thinner than in the Ton/Aus game. I expect him to tone up further for Feb......

| I'll take that if he's anywhere near as successful. Anyway, it's preferable to Joel Moon's Shergar impression from last year.

| Thought Ward was looking top drawer in the treble winning season until he got injured away at Hudds when we won in last mins to claim league leaders. If Furner can nurture him back 6to that then we've got one hell of a player back. If not then I'm sad to say we need to let him go.

| I think Ward needs a change in play style. BMD wanted every player to just be a crash forward.
Ward could be great At 13 and benefit from more freedom in where he puts himself.
Adjust his technique to suit that and he might not be injured so often.

| Saw Brett Ferres near Glasshoughton ASDA today, had a metal caliper on his arm, like the ones Forrest Gump had on. Can’t be helping his training, hope it comes off soon.

| He had some work done on his arm just before the open day. He was all bandaged up then! Looks like we got a broken dud.
He’s got a season to prove his worth, or send him on his way.

| Pretty baffled by him being captain last year if I'm honest- would suggest he's held in high regard so would expect him to renew. Deals are done way before the end of the season you'd have thought so he doesn't even have a year to prove himself realistically.

| He's already proved himself. What a waste of salary cap space. Shoddy goods, especially in the attitude/culture department.

He's not been good on the field but I question where you getting this from? The fact that Sinfield made him captain seems to suggest otherwise. FWIW some points last year he was the only one talking and instructing players when we were stood behind the sticks after conceding (which happened far too often)
