The general opinion at the Fax game today was that our first game would be at home against Leeds. We could have it wrong, and I'm sure Sky will have some influence on the fixtures, but we're buzzing about having you visit and hope you turn up in numbers. We don't realistically expect to beat you, but we have a great defensive mentality and we could be a tough old nut for you to crack. Any which way, this fixture is the only one we'll have with any significant number of away fans, as our other games at the Shay are against Toronto and Salford.

That wouldn’t be a surprise to me, I reckon we will have two away games up first to give them more time to have the South Stand fully completed for the first home game, which I reckon will be Hull KR

Fair play to Halifax for making the top 4 against teams with bigger budgets. Richard Marshall has done a terrific job. I'm looking forward to going to Fax again it's been far too long.

last time I went was 04ish. danny ward played the first 70 odd minutes. brilliant display.

RM left Warrington as assistant coach to join Fax, and the only destination I can see for him at any other club is as head coach.

I certainly hope that I can make the Halifax game as I haven't seen my old school teacher Andy Hardcastle (also the Halifax Historian too) for over 30 years

Well if the televised games are on Saturday again,

FC Halifax are at home on the 11 August, 18 August, 8 September and 22 September so on those weekends it would have to be Sunday and therefore not televised

Ealing Rugby Union are at home on the 11 August, 1 September, 15 September and 29 September

Yorkshire Cricket have a T20 on Friday 17 August and a county champ match over the 31 August & 1 September.

Halifax and London usually play on Sunday at home and Widnes are Friday or Sunday.

Presumably Toronto will only get SKY coverage for away matches or does the Premier deal not cover the qualifiers?

Doesn't that give us some sort of advantage playing what could be two decisive games at the end at home?
And people were moaning that Toronto could play all their away games in one go before ending their play offs all at home.

Don’t think the south stand will be fully/open/complete this season. Probably the whole of the paddock will be complete ,but the rest of the project including bars and seating highly unlikely. Hopefully I will be proved wrong.

Has anyone got a graph showing league positions over the season?

It seems like we were progressing ok before just free-falling. Somehow even Catalans managed to overtake us so just interested to see how it actually panned out.

The timeline for full completion of the stand as of February was 21st August. I have no idea to what degree this has slipped, if at all.

Was talking to somebody in the pub Sunday afternoon (don’t laugh) who is working onsite he said they haven’t started the installation of the seats. Nor have they started the fit-out of the bars and other entertainment areas.

I can't see why the full standing/seating will not be complete for 21st. As long as the statutory safety systems are in place it should be open. The paraphernalia can come later.

Premier Sports apparently cannot cover the middle eight games as they are part of the Sky contract. Would be nice if they have Catalan & Toulouse on different weekends at home and have the extras on sky.
