"The Golden Generation finally has its Golden Fleece! They have Wembley Cup Final winners medals to add to their collection." 23/08/2014:

Quote: Gotcha "I am glad you pulled that up, I wanted you to be the one just to prove my point exactly.

So I never said Clark needed Westerman, like you posted. I said it clearly what it was, and what happened, and what is happening. We pulled out of a deal for both Clark and Westerman. Clark wanted to be back over here, and hence his desire to make the move to Leeds, and why Wire were a willing seller. We didn't see it through and Wire making other arrangements. Westerman was told the deal was done with Leeds, but Leeds wouldn't agree Hulls fee. My exact post at the time was (and before the papers and others) was that Leeds had gone back on the deal as they believe the Burgess deal is a goer. The same Burgess confirmed we were still in for by our CEO weeks after. I also said at the time on a post after the one you pulled up, as people got stupid (like you) that the chauffeur line was taken too literally. Wire paid the full fee for Westerman has it totally fit for them, in that Clark had a lift from his mate, and could locate where he wanted. I made it clear on that second post that of course they didn't just sign for a lift.

Please don't tell us you do know but keep quite. For gods sake you have only been going during the bandwagon days, and even then you seem to attend no more than a third of games. You know nothing outside of the club and below the professional game. Only last year you tried to make out you knew what Morgsn Smith was on, got a bit loose there with those lips, but as usual was totally wrong. Then you had the cheek to tell us Ward had a bad game at Hull KR last year, just because I said he was very good, because you didn't hear his name on the radio.

For your information, talking about things is not loose lips. Rugby League unlike football, is a community sport. And involving yourself in community clubs, something I doubt you have ever been involved in, conversations always take place whilst a lot of time is spent there. I personally, regardless of you, will continue to repeat what is discussed, unless anyone tells me specifically not to. And for your information I have been told specifically not to on two current dels for next year, but they dont involve Leeds. However, there are people who post on here who are a lot closer to any info than the likes of me,

Your complete lack of been in any loop sees you have a go at people continuously. You have already been picked up this year on Frosties. You deflect this in to then accusing two posters of been the same. You are not on a good run, with your barrel of excuses deteriating rapidly. If I were you I would keep to your own advice, and keep quite and a little less presence. Stop the jealous bitching all the time and maybe you can learn something, and who knows pretend you are in a loop instead.

Of course this constant deflection does work to your advantage in terms of the current plight of the club, which is far more important than your little bitch rants all the time. If you took some time to move away from the end of last season, and start to concentrate on what has been happening for weeks now in the current season, someone might actually take you seriously.

As you always want the last word, I have no doubt you will want to respond, but can you do it to PM so it does not deflect from what the board is about, and bore everyone with the bitching. I will even let you have that last word, promise.'"

You made a BS claim about Westerman giving Clark lifts over to Warrington. You meant it and it was shown up to be nonsense and since have backtrack claiming you didn't really mean it. You did mean it you just got shown up for the BS that it was and that's always your excuse when one of your rumours gets shown up....."oh I didn't mean that" a010.gif

I love the feeble attempt to portray me as a SL era glory bandwagon fan......no I didn't follow the club pre SL but considering I was only born in the late 80's I'm not sure how I can be faulted for not supporting earlier than 1997.

How was I picked up on Frosties? He made claims that I said wouldn't happen and low and behold they didn't happen yet and just like your chaffeuer nonsense you still try and claim otherwise.

You think I'm wrong about what Morgan Smith was offered, maybe I am maybe I'm not. Unlike yours and Frosties claims which got shown up for being clearly wrong I've not seen anything to say I was incorrect apart from you disagreeing with it which was inevitable as you're obsessed with criticising the club in your desperation to look in the know. You constantly criticised them about how they handled the various Hardaker incidents and you claimed the club apologised to him and agreed the treated him harshly for his World Cup exit......they did no such thing. Your mate in the Hardaker camp clearly only gives you Hardaker's version of events which makes him look hard done by and they never told you he got into a fight with a Carnegie player on his night out and the club have no problem with how they punished him.

As pointed out before regarding the Ward issue, I never said he had a bad game, I suggested that you exaggerated his performance because he's one of your favourites and slagged off McGuire's whose one of your usual targets even though most agreed McGuire had a very good game.

Again if you want to believe that i don't know anything about the club or the game below the professional level without knowing me then so be it.....all that shows is just how desperate you are to be Mr In the Loop and how defensive you are when challenged about it

Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg

Quote: ThePrinter "The Falloon signing.....after people said we were signing Haughton or Clark or Farah or McIlorum or Lunt or several other hookers who were mentioned on here before Falloon's name popped up, yeah getting it right at the 10th attempt is really good evidence of knowledge
I never said Falloon was coming, I don't ever recall seeing McIlorum as a potential target, only a fool would believe Farah was anything more than wishful thinking, same goes for Lunt. Only one who was mentioned seriously was Haughton. Most think Clark was for 2017 - given the relative standards of the two sides I an not sure Clark would be so keen on coming to Leeds now.

The Kiwi games was known long before the club announced it was happening - typical of what gets posted on here.

The only thing that really came as a surprise was Sinfield going to union - that came right out of the blue.

I repeat where is Westerman playing? Given Clark is banned from driving and Western lives near him do you think there is a good chance they are travelling together? Whilst not a primary consideration when signing Westerman it will have been a bonus that he could provide a taxi service for Clark.

It is not a secret that Hardaker has some issues off the field - the club need to address these otherwise the half a yard of pace he has lost will be a yard and half and what could have been a glittering career will turn to . I would suggest Gotcha has a far greater inside track on what is going on with Zac than virtually anyone else on here.

The Ward thing - if I were you I would not be bringing that up - you already looked daft when suggesting you knew more about the game listening to the radio than somebody who actually attended the game. How can you know if an exaggeration took place - perhaps the person/publication you were relying for your info. exaggerated McGuire's performance?

Where do you think Clark is living?

I said no such thing.

I couldn't know, that's why i asked the question.

Quote: Sal Paradise "perhaps the person/publication you were relying for your info. exaggerated McGuire's performance?'"

I went off several people who posted beforehand who all said McGuire had a very good game. Gotcha said he was very poor and you yourself know better than anyone being a McGuire fan that Gotcha loves to shoot down his performances when most agree McGuire had a good game.

And this is my exact point with you. You read something and it is black and white, you have absolutely no idea around it, but you choose to go with what was read.

This is exactly what I said, Clark wanted to be back over here, and why he wanted to move clubs. He couldn't stay over here because of his driving ban. When Westerman signed for Warrington this gave him the option to spend the time he wanted over this side, as Westerman could and is taking him in. His chauffeur if you want to read it like that.

It really isn't hard, but you persist in this petty jealousy because others know something you don't. None of us know everything going on, but people share things purely for discussion on a message board. Only you seem to take offence. Yet you get so defensive that you actually back up people's argument.

Anyway, I did say to keep to PM to not bore others, so will leave at that.

We have one person here who blindly believes everything he hears as truth without objection and it certainly isn't me.

Ahh the inevitable u-turning on the original story as you previously stated in the past Clark was still living over here until it was pointed out to you by quotes from the player himself that he wasn't.

Like you said it's a discussion board, that will include opposite views to yours. But you are the one who truely gets so defensive and angry whenever anybody questions one of your rumours as if it's blasphemy for us to not automatically believe you just because you've said it and we should take it as gospel.

And here we are again, you not reading what is actually said. I said he was staying over here, staying. I even said in the same post that he was not enjoying staying over there, and wanted to be back over here. Living was never the mentioned point, the point been that he wanted to be over here, but due to his driving circumstances could not be over here as often as he wanted. Guess what, that problem was solved. You see, if you actually read what is said in the right context, there is no need for you child like petulance. You will also see that yet again I was right, but you don't really need me to tell you that.

"As you travel through life don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things" - George Carlin [url:2cg5oc2o]http://twitter.com/AndyGilder[/url:2cg5oc2o] [url:2cg5oc2o]http://fromthewesternterrace.blogspot.co.uk[/url:2cg5oc2o] This week: Four keys to a Rhinos win in the WCC:Transparent Backgrounds/Waldorf.gif

Let's look at some actual rugby shall we, and analyse the tries conceded from Friday:

Lunt (1) - Watkins over-reads and loses his footing to create the initial break. Some decent scramble to get back and nullify that, but then it all goes awry. JJB shoots out to smash the runner, Sutcliffe also over-reads and slides along the line leaving a yawning gap between him and Galloway which Lunt dummies and dives through

Lunt (2) - lazy looking grab from Mullally on the initial break, Cuthbertson and Walters hadn't pushed up on his inside leaving a gap. Again, good scramble to get back and deny the try at that point from Sutcliffe and Falloon. The smart play then is to give the penalty away, because the line is completely busted. They don't, and Lunt has a walk-in which would have probably been a penalty try if he hadn't grounded it due to McGuire not getting onside.

Dixon - this one pretty much sums up Leeds in attack at the minute. McGuire clearly has a short side call on. Falloon at dummy half doesn't even glance in his direction and goes open side instead to Burrow, who does his little dance, gets collared and loses the ball. From there it's game over once the ball gets into Dixon's hands.

Cockayne - Lunt actually looks like he's taken the wrong option here to start with. Galloway is left on the floor at the tackle, Cuthbertson and Walters are both retreating with their backs turned on the blind side yet he goes open side instead. Gets on the outside shoulder of Singleton who can't move his feet quick enough, goes high and misses the tackle. Simple support play down the middle, try at the side of the posts.

Allgood - simple three on three on the short side. Ablett goes high and loses his grip when Allgood spins, then walks straight through the attempted legs tackle of Walters.

Mulhern - Cuthbertson is supposed to be the A defender on the right hand side, but gets lined up almost directly behind the play the ball. Walters goes back from the tackle into the B defender position, then looks on as Mulhern just strolls into the big gap Cuthbertson has left where the A defender should have been. Can't tell from the video which one (or both) Hardaker immediately confronts, but I know which one it should have been.

The same names crop up on the analysis of most of the tries Leeds are conceding at the minute, and it's the middle unit either losing the tackle area and allowing quick ball out to the edges, or just simply missing tackles they should be making. What's causing it? I don't buy into the whole "lack of confidence" thing. Some of them look chronically unfit and even tired at this early stage of the season, the front row in particular.

Lots of talk comes out of the Leeds camp about "working harder". Are they working too hard in the week and leaving nothing in the legs for game day? Punishment floggings might work in the Marines, but that's not the way you get the best out of professional athletes.

There also appears to be a distinct lack of being able to think on your feet and read what is coming at you. How many times have defenders already this season jumped out on lead runners and left gaps for players to walk through untouched? Communication of who has what threat when you're defending needs to be much, much better than it currently is.

There are a lot of things to fix, both individually, collectively and structurally at the moment. Does the current coach have the brains to spot them, the ability to correct them and the ear of the players to implement those corrections? Or is his voice turning into background noise?

Quote: Andy Gilder "Let's look at some actual rugby shall we, and analyse the tries conceded from Friday
I honestly think many of our problems are caused from not controlling the play the ball in defence. We're getting left on the ground and players not getting back in to line quick enough and the markers are often getting caught not square and so unable to help out the A defender who's often a late retreater anyway.
I also think it's our problem in attack too. We're making yards but we aren't troubling defences. We rarely get quick play the balls and I'd be tempted to move away from our offloading game and focus on getting to the floor quicker instead. Whilst the halves and team as a whole aren't playing well enough, they're not helped by facing a set defence and a chronic lack of support runners running decent lines.

I also agree we look knackered. I'd be surprised if it's from being "over-worked" in training as Davidson and his team monitor workloads pretty closely. However could it be that doing something different in training is having an effect on our energy levels? I'm sure most coaches would say it's still more of an art than a science.

Impact of McGuire as main defensive line organiser is always understated - whenever he's been absent over last 6 yrs or more the defence has been weakened.

The flooding wiped out our state of the art wrestle chamber where our players, commanded by Ian Kirke could learn how to dominate the play the ball!

All our woes this season lead straight back to the flooding! icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED:

On the evidence of this season, some of that middle unit are clearly struggling to do so. Whether it's technical, mental or physical fatigue, something is preventing them from dominating opposition ball carriers in contact.
