Not for me no. Think he might get in the squad with some utility value. I have always liked ablett as a player, LF then SR for me though. The first game of the season against hull I was
Impressed with the ablett, moon, Hall combination, sadly not sure when we will see it again soon.
Out of interest who would you pick in the centres for England?

Again I agree with you....
As for English centres: Watkins DEF (n.b.McDermott) and then I guess it's a toss up. Depends how well Jack Reed is playing in the NRL? Cudjoe looks fine at SL level, but then so does Ablett most matches. How long before Moon qualifies on residency?

| I always forget about jack reed, no idea how he is doing. I thought you might have gone for a couple of kids from the U15 team with your youth agenda

| From the limited stuff I've seen Reed isn't doing all that well however as a team the Broncos are playing poorly

| In my opinion Watkins is one of the brightest prospects in the British game and has more to give than Cudjoe. Although I do think Cudjoe has become a very good centre and I'd be happy for them to be our centres in the WC.

| I first saw Cudjoe at the Carnegie Floodlit 9s a few years back and he really impressed me. He was at full back but had some pace and an eye for a good passing game.
Would I have him at Leeds? Don't think so. I think Watkins has the edge on him at the moment and Moon is turning out to be a decent centre.

| Cudjoe had some nice touches against Leeds but let's not get too carried away.
Australia and NZ are unlikely to gift him the interception opportunities Leeds did and they will have faster players than Ryan Hall (not noted for his blistering pace) to chase him down. Still, he must be in contention and is certainly a better passer than other contenders (Atkins, for example).

On that one, Zak went far too early. He'd have had him for pace so should have stayed with him, no need to ankle tap either around the half way line he could have 'man and balled' him.

He did the same thing when we played wire and Joel Monaghan picked up the loose ball and went 60m to score, Zak easily had him for pace but went for the ankle tap

At present I dont think Reed should be in the England squad, but, when it comes round to WC time i would presume every eligible English player in the NRL will be in the squad.
Apart from Scott Moore that is

| Cudjoe dealt with Moon better than anyone else we've faced this year. I knew he was decent ball-in-hand but the cup game also showed him to have what it takes defensively, unlike Atkins. Watkins should undoubtedly be one centre for England but, not knowing too much about Reed, would be happy with Cudjoe as the other one.

It's all a learning curve.
Zak's still a newbie FB and the defensive side, positions, decision making etc will take time.
One area which was evident in the Hudds game which he has shown improvement is the ability to make try saving one on one tackles - he felled Shirley with ease and got under the ball just before half time to keep us in the game.
The finished article of Zak is a hell of an exciting thought (meant in no way sexually. We all know where I get my kicks there)

I actually think the defensive side to Hardaker's game is better than his attacking play. He's a natural in broken play but the lines he picks and the his passing game when he comes into the line isn't anywhere near where it should be yet. His defense can improve but I think his positional play, and reading of the game in defense is very good considering he's not play that much at FB.

| Regarding centres for England I think a lot of thought has to go into who'll be their wing partner. Reed and Hall look very good together in the last 4 nations and even though it was only against Wales I thought the Watkins/Charnley partnership showed promise........In the last 4 nations Yeamen got picked pretty much because Briscoe was on the wing.

You could equally say hall and cudjoe looked a good pairing in the internationals last year
It's good for England though for years we have had no good options at centre, at least now there are a few more options avalable
