It just feels like I'm watching the slow death of my club. Something has to change, but what?

Myler and Suttcliffe are more than likely the worst pair of halfs in the league, they lack just about every basic you would expect in a halfback, mylers also missing more tackles than just about anybody in the league. While them 2 are our starting halves, we'r going to be a rubbish team.

Contrast that to Salford, who on paper have an absolutely woeful team but have two good halves, Hastings very good and it shows how important the 6 + 7 are, theyr competitive and more than capable of knocking any team off.

Mylers last two and half super league seasons over 2 different teams have seen him in the million pound game, the middle eights and 2 points off bottom.....

When i hear Furner mention the likes of Myler and Ferres as leaders and players we need back when they miss a game, it hits home at how far we'v fallen, theyr 2 of the worst players in the league at there positions.

Did the club approach any other coaches or did they just identify Furner as who they wanted and head hunted him? We may survive this year, but if this continues what about next ?

I cany blame any Leeds player for being scared under the high ball because the 10 players in front of the winger and full back whistle job it is to get in front of the catcher and protect don't bother and allow the opposition to run through unopposed. Its absolutely pathetic and has been going on for too long. Bout time players did their jobs.

And you can say the exact same thing about Sutcliffe at stand off, shocking. So if really have to play Lolohea put him where he was signed for, or bin off. Sutcliffe had a decent game second row week before, he is a terrible half.

Halfs full stop a massive issue for us, more so than forwards.

Salford are virtually safe from relegation and completely skint. Hastings is likely to leave at the end of the year for free. I don’t see how Salford could turn down a transfer fee of a couple of hundred thousand and Lolohea part exchange. We desperately need a player like Jackson Hastings, come on GH and SKS, make it happen.

We need a half that can do anything positive, ours are woeful, absolutely woeful. Mylers stat sheet is embarrassing, missed tackles, errors etc. On the eye test of watching games, he's even worse.

Suttcliffes not a half so im not getting into his failings as a half, his problem is he's not really an anything. Probably in our last grand final run was the best iv seen him play since his bad injury.

we are trying to fit players that are not up to scratch in key positions, walker is a good full back but is still learning and when he is out we have to pick golding as he is the next best defensively [ i'd even consider sutcliffe there as he did ok when required]
in the halves we simply do not have 2 players in the squad good enough to hold down the shirt in either position
would moving parcell or dwyer in at 6 or 7 makes us defend better and maybe partner one of those with ward when fit?
every team we play knows where to target, we are soft down the middle and really soft on goal line defence
while i can understand the furner out brigade its not down to him, he inherited a squad of players which are not up to scratch and we need to judge him at this stage next year once we have got rid of the dead wood and he has signed players he wants
