Oh he can do that, but he just goes missing (even during his limited minutes) after making a bit of an impact initially.

1157.jpg It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.:1157.jpg |

| He’s an example of how far standards have dropped. Can you imagine him playing the way he does if JP and Kylie were in the prop rotation with him. Our players simply don’t push each other anything like enough. Sangare has most of the raw tools, but needs to significantly up his work rate and aggression.

In interviews he always sounds just happy to be here, which is great but come on the honeymoons over he needs to kick on and push himself. It's a real balance for a coach to get right, to have the players happy and having fun whilst also pushing to be the best and marrying those values together. Do we have the players, the squad drive and coach that really want it...

Hmmm some rose tints there, we had a few plodders in their time aswell. And a few 5th placed finishes in the league in fact JPs first season with us wasn’t great which he admits himself.
Sangare is young and in his first season with us hopefully he will come good.

| Wouldn't it be great after this week, if after the game, regardless of result we were all talking about Jack Sinfield and his potential. I hope he gets the call up.

| And if he is playing if I were Smith I'd be really getting into that front row to put the work in to give him the space and protection he needs.

Yes me too, it’s a great opportunity for the younger players to have a crack, Id like to see Alfie Edgell given some game time aswell (maybe not today)

| Exactly, that's how we need to use these circumstances that have been thrown up. I'll be so disappointed if we just move players around to cover the gaps and as I've already said, just limp through to the end with the likes of Handley at fb and Smith in the halves.

What I do hope is that the fans don’t get on their backs though if they have poor games, it will happen with young players.

| And looking back on this week, I think I've got my feelings and thoughts on the whole Austin situation and the balance of fault/responsibility, wrong.

Id hope that would be the case too, I think people are usually more unforgiving of the more senior players if they don't step up.

Fair enough Seth, I think it’s easy to make assumptions without all the facts, and even though I do have a moan about reactions sometimes, I think however we all disagree sometimes we do (or at least the majority of us) are just wanting what’s best for the club) that’s why we get over emotional (for want of a better word) about things.
Personally I think Austin has been a prat and landed his team mates in it a bit, If the move was to Castleford for more than the rest of the season, I’d buy it that he was looking after his future. Anyway he’s gone now so we have to look at what positives come out of it and that means looking beyond what happens this season IMO. Id absolutely love is to win today then go on a bit of a run but if it’s our season over I can live with that if the younger players get a run which will only benefit them.
Hopefully we get to see what players like Hooley, Sinfield, Roberts, Edgell and Ruan are all about.

I'd love to see both Sinfield and Hooley get a shot today. Sinfield will offer us a far better kicking game than young Johnson and would probably be our best bet at a drop goal should it be required. Hooley needs to find out about himself at the top level for the rest of the season. I don't buy the argument some have made about resting him for next weeks big game. This is the big game, and they'll be plenty of Leigh lads today who'll be risking missing the CC Final next week.

| I wouldn’t even mind it if Sinfield started on the bench with Cam Smith doing the first 20-30 mins today. Happy for RS to ease Sinfield into the team as long as that is the direction of travel! Same with Edgell. If we see Cam Smith being the main stay of the halves for the rest of the season… my dwindling faith in RS will be dwindled…
