| Are we certain he's jumping and not pushed? Club has taken a financial pounding over the last 18 months, Sinfield is a £150k-£200k cost they can release without affecting things too much, especially if Hetherington doesn't plan to retire for another decade.
I remain of the view that his departure is more symbolic than important at this stage - his period in the current role has been mixed at best and if he wasn't who he was there would be a lot more pressure aimed in his direction.

| I wonder if the pandemic is having a severe impact on the club financially? There is the stadium to pay for and getting no income from the corporate side

| Well there often isn't smoke without first with these things so I'm expecting both to be leaving TBH. Very hard to see how we're going to shape up now for next year, but on the plus side we do have the basis of a very good squad developing now and maybe some new voices will help the young lads kick on.
Anyway good luck to both because as others have said, KS is and always will be a club legend. Agar has done a really solid job in a challenging position too. It's very important we find the right coach - we need someone in the Graham Murray/Brian McDermott/Tony Smith mould. Not sure whether Sean Long gets the job though, that wouldn't surprise me. We need to top coach (or really talented assistant looking for a step up) - but particularly with such a young squad. The most important thing is the education and support for players like Mik, Newman etc. because these boys could be the future of the club for 10 years.

It'll be absolutely crippling them. No doubt there is a hope the government loans will be turned into grants at some stage.
On top of government support the club has been given access to a new line of credit from Caddick Group which is helping to keep things going but no club will have been as badly affected as Leeds by all this.

| Don’t think agar will be leaving as family was a big reason in him coming back originally.

Agar has 3 offers on the table, all significally more money than he is on at Leeds. Whilst money isnt everything I know he was seriously considering the offers a few week ago so i wouldnt be suprised to see him go, particularly if a new DoR is coming in who may want his own man as coach.

| I’d suspect the large sums of money on offer would be another reason Sinfields leaving, and who could blame him.

| Such a strange place to be in right now knowing that we are likely to lose Sinfield and Agar.

| We need someone with a genuine and all encompassing blind love and desire for the club at DOR. Not coach but someone who knows what Leeds means. JJB the only candidate. Intelligent and passionate. We need someone who wants to do it and won't be swayed by money. I know it's easy to say but if I was comfortable nothing would sway me from that job. I think JJB would be the man who would instill the belief, sign the right players and get the skillful coach that could make it work.

We need someone who can identify good players, can negotiate good deals with agents and players and can manage a salary cap.
Arguably we still have the best in the business at doing all that within the club, but whether Hetherington wants to take it on again is open to question.

Im just trying to rack my brains why he would give up a job for life for an asst cosching job. I know Kev and his family well and I know they are worried that Jack will always have Kevin hanging over him, that will always be the case but having Kev at the club may make it worse. I just dont know.
A couple of years ago I had a conversation with Kev and he said he didnt enjoy the job and it was much harder than he expected it to be and he waa ready to quit. Ive had chats with him since where he said things had improved and he was starting to enjoy it. Maybe hes finding it tough again.
Hes not on massive money at Leeds, he earned more working for the RFL and Im sure he will be on much more at Leicester maybe thats the reason.
Who knows eh? Who bloody knows.
Gutted.

Exactly this plus they need a ruthless streak.
Sinfields standing as the Clubs greatest ever Captain is secured & unblemished but we need to move quickly to get the right DOR/Coaching set up in place or its another 3/4yrs dicking around with "msybe" appointnents.
