The ground and the stands well 3 of them look superb and full credit to the club.
But the atmosphere isn`t as good unless its down to how bad they have been playing when crowds were allowed to watch.
If the team gets better we might see the SS rocking again.
We can only hope.

Remember plenty of flat days before the ground was reconstructed. As you say, there has not been much to shout about since the new stands were completed. Winning team will turn up the volume.

Martin needs a few games in his normal position before dropping him to see where his form really is.

It was a statement of fact not a criticism , Extra seats were needed for extra rl games , a new north stand was needed for cricket matches. Whether the club thought the ss a 14th man they went for extra seats. and now for club games instead of one stand of 'prawn sandwiches' as roy keane would say have two or more accurately 2 halves with an unfilled north stand

Im not for dropping him out of the 17 but feel he hasn't done enough to start.

I like the new Headingly, I think it looks brilliant, I do agree with the comments on atmosphere though, it`s a shame they couldn`t meet somewhere in the middle.

As an away supporter I was always very annoyed when the south stand got going (more than any other away day) on the basis that it obviously got your players going and also the cynic in me with my Red, White and Blue spectacles on always believed it would just add that little bit of pressure onto the Referee to blow his whistle in your favour

The game and the viewing experience has changed in all sports. There are very few old style grounds left now. Oh for the good old days of an away trip to the Boulevard

Even if Headingley is a little different in atmosphere to what it was, I think part of it is that with the building works/reduced capacity followed straight on by COVID, plus the loss of the big Bradford derby and the side not being successful for a good while...

Get the new place sold out and with good rugby on the pitch and I’m sure it’ll be a wonderful place to be (for players too) again.
