We’ve been spoilt since around 2003/4 for the best part of 10 years, and now we have players who couldn’t lace the players of that eras boots.
The second half was ok, not more. The first half was dreadful.'"
Couldn’t agree more. Some people are so obsessed about results. Then if we win it was great. Can’t see the woods for the trees.
That match, that performance was dire. So too was the opposition, as most of the teams are. How anyone can call any point outstanding, must have some serious low levels. That said, we had massive disruption, and we came through it, and that deserves credit.
Oledzki clearly our best player by miles for last couple of games. Thought Dwyer stood out but was still bang average, but much better than his competition at the club. Hooker is a very weak position for us, and worse than any club other than Wakefield. Other than Oledzki front row poor, but did miss Prior. Back row a team of willing workers, but plodders. Lui is so poor, how the club and anyone can think we are better going with that than seeing what McLelland can offer on an extended run, I don’t know.
We are where we are because of how poor other sides are. Without a Wigan collapse now, and new format, top four will be beyond us, but with the poop below us not going to be a disaster. Not sure we will learn anything though as a result.
