Its never even entered my mind about not wearing a Leeds shirt to an away game. Not a problem. Get it on. Paint ya face, take a flag, haha.

| Ah I know generally it is fine. The only hassle I have ever had is at MW and the GF and that was random drunk fans of other teams (often Hull) swinging at people.
I just wanted to check - I live in the area too so didn't want to antagonise anyone who might know where I live. 'S*itting on your own doorstep' and that!
I have a mate who is a Cas fan so if I see him there he talks the local language
Cheers all!

| That's the great thing about RL. I lived in Bradford during the heights of Bullmania, but never experienced anything too hostile wearing a Leeds shirt.
Whatever we think about Leeds vs Cas, I don't think it has ever been so acrimonious as the days of Hetherington vs Caisley, even the more recent rivalry with Wigan didn't reach those heights (Tomkins v-signs etc). Maybe this is one of the contributing factors to GH losing his edge?
If I could change one thing about SL, it would be to get a competitive Bulls team back in. Halcyon days, especially when we finally worked out how to beat them!

| I can handle the cas fans bait I think the way to do it is just smile when they give it and dont respond with FB retorts. I'm not the same at Hull though

That side was simply too big - every player - Deacon apart - was huge, soon as the game sped up the Bulls went into decline. No way a prop like Vagana could prosper in today's SL

| Golding named in Fev's squad for Sunday, only 7 backs in that squad and Calum Turner left out so that suggests Golding isn't playing for Leeds tonight.

Jesus, I hope we are not playing Sutcliffe there. I would literally pick another five or six players before I picked him.

| Quote: Jamie101 "Sorry to be boring and ask about practical stuff but what are the parking options in and around Cas? Possibly getting some mates to go so need to need a plan as I will likely be responsible for getting us to the vicinity of the ground.
Second, where do home and away fans go in the stadium or is it just a mish mash throughout? Living in Ponte it will be easier for me to get tickets from the Cas shop (don't have a printer) though if different stands are for different sides it will mean being in with all the Cas fans...
Thanks for any help you can give
There are a number of car parks all within reasonable distance of the ground.
Personally, I’d park in Castlefields Car Park at the back of Carlton Lanes Shopping Centre. It’s a 5 min longer walk away but the main Carlton Lanes ones others have talked about usually are a pain in the backside to get out of when coupled with traffic from Wheldon Rd and Lock Lane.
May have to get there early though. It was rammed on Sunday vs London.
In terms of stands, you can go down the sides or stand behind the posts at the Railway End (one with no roof). There’s no segregation and wearing colours shouldn’t be an issue as most fans get on and have banter. Particularly for a busy local derby, I would imagine it will be harder for the idiots to start trouble anyway.

I reckon that's where he'll play if Hurrell is fit.
I do actually feel sorry for Golding, basically if he isn't going to play tonight I don't reckon we'll ever see him play for us again.

I wouldn't suggest going in the end behind the sticks under cover (was it the Jack Fulton stand st one point). My brother-in-law goes in and has seen a few opposition fans get more than good banter. Plenty of space elsewhere though.

| You will be fine wearing colours and the ground is free to walk around - no segregation - although the stewards do try to send away fans to the open air railway terrace prior to entering the ground.
Just don't bring a bloody cow bell and all will be fine

That’s the Wheldon Rd End.
The one I mentioned was the uncovered one, which is the Railway End.
Jack Fulton Stand is down the side

| IMO, Golding has been treated very poorly. It now appears to be more of a personal grudge.
