| Quote: Marty Grrrrrrrrrr! "U16s have just beaten Saints at Stanningley 32-16. Tacked tremendously in 1st half which helped get the win.
Have to praise St Helens number 12 Reece Summer he was magnificent for Sts.
Once Leeds got the ball and held it we looked a good team.'"
Marty who went well for us?

| Really liked the look of our full back Alfie Edgell he looked a really silky runner, loose forward and captain Tom Watton will be a powerful lad, props Wallace and Hird ran strongly particularly Wallace.
Hooker Jonah Parsons who played at 7 earlier in season is a good player and of course Levi Edwards ran well and worked hard.
Too many errors tho, sloppy at times but defended constant pressure in the 1st half which won the game.
Like I said tho, remember the name Reece Summer, best player on the park for me. Looks an absolute stud for Saints.
16s next game is next Wednesday at Bishop Burton college against Hull.

| Interesting to see Myler involved with the coaching staff. Looked to be working with the half backs kicking game in the warm up. Had to give that one a serious double take.

| Just 2 Leeds lads in the England youth squad to take on France, Coby Nicol and Ajahni Wallace, both from Siddal.
Very suprised, but probably shouldnt be, at the squad. Imo ourselves and Cas have some players who are unlucky not to be involved.

I nearly fell over when I saw the squad. I thought that there would be 5 from each club selected (Leeds and Cas). The best 2 half backs in the country have been left out for a start!

I don't know what the squad is, or whom the best players are, but I can say with some confidence that for many many a year, any international selecton at youth has always been Lancashire biased. So would expect most of the players are probably from the other side.

Agreed, id of said about 5 each would of been about right for cas and leeds. Nothing new from Danny Wilson and staff unfortunatly, as Gotcha says, seems to be a very Lancashire based bias at England youth level, when the Lancashire clubs/players are stronger, the numbers selected massivly favour them, when the Yorkshire clubs/players are stronger, like this year, the numbers are pretty even or sumtimes still favour Lancashire.
Pretty shocked Wigan and Saints have got more in than Leeds this year.

| Its always been the same Matt nothing will change until they change the selection staff. last year they made the same mistakes and got turned over by a very poor french side. it political bias at its best and everyone can see through it

Who is the 2 halfbacks you are referring to mate ?
I try and watch as much as I can from this side of the world and I thought Widnes had an impressive halfback plus they had a really good fullback & lock who could consider themselves unlucky.
Im currently watching Bulls v City of Hull now and theres some decent players as well.

Anyone know of any others we'r bringing in, from which community clubs and if theres any standouts among them? The Lock Lane team seem to be the cream of the crop in Yorkshire at that level.'"
Lock Lane have just beaten Rylands Sharks 19-18 to win the National Cup.

Great result and probably a great game by sounds of it. The 2 dominant teams in the country, glad Yorkshire edged it.

| Lock Lane seemed to have some big kids when I saw them play but their opponents that day, Saddleworth, had better footballers. Lock Lane edged them in golden point after extra time 27-26. That was in the QF.
Well done to Lock Lane tho cos Rylands are supposedly a terrific team.
