Crap call for the forward pass from Merrin. Watkins is miles off the pace - should have had Newman in the 17 after all.

Another terrible decision, and punished again, awful officiating.

25 minutes in and there have been three really bad calls - not seeing Wigan knock on near their own line, not seeing Wigan knock on and the resulting try and now a non-existent forward pass takes our clean break and likely try and turns it into a Wigan try. It could/should be 6-18, instead it's 16-12.

The officials are going to really make us work for everything tonight.

Yep. I often think the refs are harshly done by as they have a massive amount to do and every call is scrutinised.

However I don’t understand how an experienced ref can give those calls. The Wigan knock on before their try was obvious. It was clear how the ball came flying backwards as the Wigan man was moving forward that it was a knock on. And the forward pass was just ridiculous.

Thaler has given the momentum to Wigan.

And another one, that Greenwood call has been given as a knock on consistently for about three years now. Doesn't excuse the defending that happened afterwards, but we are getting nothing from the ref here. Sickening.

If both sides had been referreed the same we'd be 12 points up. That said, Myler's kicking and Walker's defense and positioning are appalling.

Even with the shizzle reffing, it’s our mistakes that are killing us here.

Maybe. But that kind of reffing makes mistakes much more likely for 1 team and protects the other side from them.
