Quote: ThePrinter "Like I said look back at all the post mortem threads after the Castleford game, already pointed out more people tipped us to lose the Catalans game.

Can call our games easy but we beat Salford who have beaten Castleford today and people can go on about Catalans away form but their previous away game before us they actually beat Hull away, one of the teams we have to test ourselves against apparently.'"

Losing to Catalans is not what you said and you know it so prove your point or stop digging

Leeds have played Leigh, Salford, Wakefield and Huddersfield next week all contenders for the bottom 4 I would say that is a pretty soft start to the season

How many of those did you predict would be in the bottom 4?

It's proves my point exactly, more people were writing us off for that game than back us to win. Like I said go back to those post Castleford threads and GH's 4 game 'deadline' and plenty didn't fancy our chances in those 4 games. People are still questioning are chances in the next two.

At the start of the season I'd say quite a few of them would be in the bottom 4, but things change just like facing Warrington hasn't been the same challenge for teams that you would've thought. We're the only team to have won at Leigh, Salford are doing ok and have beat Castleford and Warrington.

Wigan have played Leigh (at home) Salford, Widnes, Huddersfield (which they drew) and a massively out of form Warrington. Can we dismiss Wigan until they have tougher challenges? Haven't seen anybody do it.

OK Sal, you got me. I was being deadly serious.

That's why I said "it sounds like something you'd say" and not "you said that"
It's also why I added the 2 laughing smileys at the end of the post. Just to reinforce how serious I was being...

Quote: Biff Tannen "Anyway, Huddersfield away next. Considering they picked up a great point today at Wigan and always seem to be up for us at home in the regular rounds should be a bit more of a guide to where we are at the minute. I can't see there being more than a score in it either way.'"

Wigan were well off it today apparently and still could've won.
I'll wait for the squads to be announced before making predictions but if we're unchanged or even better we have more players back then it should be a fairly comfortable win.

Wigan lost Liam Farrell before the game and O'Loughlin early doors today both with calf injuries so could be interesting how they go the next few weeks if they don't get them guys back with Hull on Friday and then us at Headingley and Cas the following week, could be some more dropped points coming up for them. I know they cope better than others with injuries but those two guys in particular could be a couple of injuries too many even for Wigan.

That'll go some way to explaining why Hudds did so well yesterday then.
I'm shocked at O'Loughlin getting injured though, it's not like him at all. icon_lol.gif

If those two are missing at Headingley then I can see us winning quite easily.

Not sure yet if they'll miss the Leeds game but sounds like they miss Hull this week. Some talk on the Wigan board after their game yesterday about how tired the team looked right from the start of the match even though they've had a 9 day gap between games. Wonder if it's the start of a tired spell from getting up for the WCC like what happened to ourselves a number of times when we appeared in that game. If so it's really bad timing for them with Hull, us and Cas their next 3 games.

Sounds pretty daft to me. See Saints for what happens when you put a legendary player with naff all coaching experience in charge.

Im 100% in favour of a new Coaching set up & would have no problem with these 2 joining in some capacity but definately not as overall Head Coach(es).

sound daft, neither of them wants to coach. mcdermott will be still in charge next year unless our season collapses again.
a name nobody is mentioning as a potential head coach, is ryan Sheridan, been a number 2 for like ten years and looks a good coach, think he is a big part of castlefords success this year, maybe ready to step up to head coach, and has good history with GH, could be a shrewd move to get him on board.

Sheridan wouldn't cost much at all either. Reyt up GHs street.

I'd let Kev or JP become our new head coach anyday. It doesn't look like either of them have any interest in becoming a head coach just yet. Maybe in afew years time one or both will give it a go.
