Like I said the John Holmes project is now coming from voluntary donations it's not about him being more worthy of the great Keving Sinfield I would donate to both if a Sinfield project started ,but this has only just been suggested .

I'm gutted about the old girl getting knocked down (South Stand) and really not keen on the split stand idea at all unfortunately can't do a lot about that

I'm all in favour of a statue to John Holmes - another all-time Leeds great - whose appearance record is unlikely ever to be bettered.
Bit it shouldn't & needn't be a case of either or, but rather why not both?
Possibly there should be an immortal for each generation, say a period covering 20 years:
Going back in time from now, Sinfield, then Holmes, then Lewis Jones & so on.
Not necessarily requiring statues of them all but rather recognition by the club in a more formal way of outstanding contributions to the club & the game as a whole.

How about some sort of Hall of Fame, along the lines of the NFL?

Every year, a new player from the club's history could be selected from a shortlist by a fan vote and inducted.
