| Whilst I respect the right of Leeds fans to be confident of a win against us on Saturday if your team plays to form and strength, I find the pompous rubbishing by some Leeds fans of Hull KR and their chances in this one-off game, extremely disrespectful and lacking grace.
There's no place for such patronising arrogance in any sport and certainly not in Rugby League. Heaven only knows, sporting history is littered with numerous examples of people gassing out their gobs only to have their words shoved down their throats following an upset.
Terms like smash them, walk all over us and it's only Hull KR and drop in quality may come back to bite you in the bum.
My daughter will be at the final and being Leeds born is a passionate Rhinos fan. Along with me, she has witnessed all the Leeds losses at the new Wembley as well as the euphoria of last year's win. Justifiably she expects Leeds to win, but has seen enough of Hull KR this year to know that on their day, they can really turn it on.
So to those arrogant Rhinos fans on here who are predicting a blow out in your favour on Saturday, I'll politely remind you of your history of poor performances in key Wembley games. I hope this is sufficient to give those that disrespect us the necessary reality check and that like Wigan and Warrington in previous rounds you disrespect Hull KR at your peril. Sermon over.

As said earlier fair comment .I am very nervous about this final ,on form of course Leeds should win ,but I accept they could lose .Leeds are also on a winning run and A they say every win is a game nearer to a loss..I think Leeds will win ,but let's keep our feet on the ground

Completely agree. Most of those writing Hull KR off were writing Leeds' season off not that long ago
I'm confident but it's a final so anything can happen. If Hull come out all guns blazing and we're off our game even slightly (like we were against Cas a few weeks ago) then anything could happen.
Looking forward to it though, should be a great game and hope that long drive home is a happy one!!!

| I've watched Leeds fro nigh on 30 years now, and even with all we've won over the last decade or so, I have still to go into one final thinking we will win.

| I doubt every single HKR fan has/is going to give Halifax and Sheffield the 'respect they deserve' when they did/it comes time to, play them in the Middle 8's. I'm sure nearly every HKR fan entered the Middle 8's extremely confident that they'd be coming back up......is that disrespectful to those other clubs in that competition that HKR fans thought that?

| As long as the Leeds players are reasonably cautious and patient in their approach to the final, it doesn't matter one iota what rash predictions fans make. It's just noise. Nothing to get so pompous about.

| Guys. It should be a great final and hopefully a fine spectacle. Like Rhinos fans, Hull KR fans are beyond passionate and loyal.
You've every right to be confident of a Leeds victory as your team has class, flair and consistency. Despite this, you can be beaten.
However, to clarify my earlier post. I isolated in para 3 some of the disrespectful and ungracious (imo) comments about Hull KR as your opposition made by a few of the posters on here. I note that such rhetoric was not used by your coach, captain and some of your players at the Press Conference in Donny earlier today.
One-off games can be great levellers. I was also there in 2005 In Cardiff supporting the Rhinos against the dark side and you let me down then.

| Given "my" current run of 6 straight cup final defeats and a "New" Wembley record of no wins for my team in 6 visits, I take nothing for granted.

I don't remember how I felt before hand, but after ten minutes, I was in despair. Luckily, one of our party said 'FFS, it's only been ten minutes!'.
Wise words, which I try (and fail) to remember.

I know what you mean. It wasn't until the manner of Barrie's try that a lot of fans started to realise it was going to be our day.

| Nearly joined the Robins that season (1985/6) but chose to reunite with Peter Fox at Leeds instead and led from the front on an epic seven game Challenge Cup run that ended with a semi final defeat to Saturday's worthy opponents.
IIRC he eventually retired at 45 having never played in a CC Final.
Do it for the 'Jeffasaurus'
Leeds could lift the trophy this season with a fourth victory - haven't checked but I imagine that would be a first.
