Quote: Biff Tannen "All he had to do was throw it or kick it and try time.

Oh well,Lucky to get a draw in the end,in a game we had well won.Need to sort out giving away these silly penalties, sides are not ripping through us so i don't see why we keep doing it.'"

Mulhearn gave two on the bounce childish penalties dragged off after that, can see why he never got if the bench last week

Dunno about that bit he certainly rammed his head into Zak...didn't stop sky saying Zak should be penalised for then pushing him away

That McGuire kick was the turning point for me, did the ref pull it back when zak initially tapped because giants were offside?

If so why did he give Huddersfield a penalty literally two minutes later for the same thing?

Second one was never a penalty. Agree dumbest decision of the night was taking the kick on the 20 & just giving McGillvary space to run at us. Never had the ball in the second half due to a combination of Hudds excellent last tackle kicks and our own indiscipline.

Only saw it once and at full speed but think that last play "try" would have been chalked off for offside from the Peacock kick even if Burrow kept his feet.

Think he brought it back because several Leeds players weren't behind the 20.

I'm not sure we were lucky. Everything went Hudds way in that 2nd half. The 50/50s, and the bounce of the ball certainly went their way.

However, McGuire's decision to go for touch from the 20m restart was the turning point. Hudds had just had 5 consecutive sets on our line and we kept them out. All we had to do was calm it down, and he goes and does that which allowed Hudds to camp themselves in our half for the next 25 minutes.

On the performance we were much better than last week, and were good value for our half time lead. Delaney carried the ball well but was a passenger in defense in the middle at times. Aiton was superb first stint, shocking the 2nd. Cuthbertson had his quietest game so far and looks like he needs a week off. Moon was outstanding and Keinhorst was solid, but he looks more of a back rower to me.

Not sure what you expect a team missing both wingers, the player of the season so far and a half fit JJB to do. To get draw was a good result - not many predicting much from the game.

Sinfield may have had a positive impact in some areas but he has become a defensive weakness which appears to be overlooked by those clamoring for his return.

Overall the team played well as a unit but young players will make errors as Handley did for the try and Mulhern for the penalties still both made good contributions

Quote: Omar Little "Well if that's a try we should just scrap the obstruction rule.

The man went behind huby *and* huby intentionally stepped across cuthburtson

So now the onus is on the defender to go around the dummy runner WTF'"

So from Wells description of the VRefs decision (which he did say wasn't how he saw it) seems Huby was fine because whilst he initially intentionally obstructed Cuthburtson/but by the time the line was broken Hubywas facing his own line and therefore not actively obstructing (even tho he was actually physically obstructing)

WTF?

For me, if cuthbertson wasn't trying so hard to get the obstruction he could have easily made the tackle and stopped that try, by the time the hudds player comes through look at how close cuthbertson is too him, but instead he's far more concerned with finding out what aftershave huby is wearing.

This constant meddling with the obstruction rule over the last few seasons has left me completely baffled.

I honestly have little idea what decision is going to be given on the most basic of rulings.

Leeds were penalised for obstruction in the first half and I have absolutely no idea which Huddersfield player was deemed to have been obstructed.

Come second half, a dummy runner stops in the defensive line, contacts a defender and remains directly between said defender and the ball carrier who directs his run straight back at him .... textbook obstruction basically ... and three referees say its play on.

I'm not calling them biased. I'm not calling them cheats. I just have no clue what they are doing.

I think that's an NRL tactic from last season (where at one stage players were blatantly looking for obstructions).

All the same Cuthbertsen couldn't physically get past Huby which is the textbook definition of an obstruction.
