When we have the best fullback in the competition let me know it hasn't happened yet there 3/4 as good if not better than him. He still isn't a patch on Webb going forward especially running into and passing in the line. Webb had a great instinct for delivering the right pass and the skill set to deliver, Hardaker has neither of these skills if he is the future and I have no reason to suggest you are incorrect then we are in for a very lean spell in attack.

Sal, you are showing yourself up a bit there now. He is easily the best in our competition. For the record, Webb is not playing anymore.

I'm also interested to hear which are the three or four full backs currently playing the Super League that are better than Hardaker.

Matty Russell at Warrington, lomax at Saints when he is fit, bowen at Wigan that's 3 all three are at least as good as Zak - Russell will be a sensation next season if he can stay injury free. Ball in hand he is a more destructive runner than Zak. Bowen is more a Webb type full back with a much better all round game than Zak at the moment. Lomax if he can ever stay fit has it all - far more natural rugby talent than Zak.

We see Zak every week, he looks great in a pretty average side and as a result his stature is over egged on here for me. Defensively he is as good as any FB in SL but offensively he is one trick pony at the moment.

Spot on, really like watching Matty Russell might argue that Bowen can be a bit flaky at times but think you are right re Zak.

The "best back line in the world ever" seemed to manage to leave us as the 7th best attack in a really ordinary Super League last season. Not seeing where the improvement is going to come from next season to be honest.

he's a decent prospect, but he's not as good as Hardaker.

Quite a few on the Warrington board would prefer to see Ratchford at FB with Russell left fighting for a wing spot, so he can't be all that good.

Sal- With respect not one of the FB's you have listed is currently better than ZH imo i'll also add he will continue to get better year on year IF he isn't moved into the halves even then i think he'll adapt accordingly and more than prove his worth.

For me the uppermost qualities should very much include [ione-on-one defence, bomb disposal and kick return[/i as best qualifying claim for "best full back". I therefore concur with you that Zak is comfortably the "best".

I have in the past advocated the possibility of Zak moving to SO long before today (and suffered ridicule accordingly of course). However, this was before I witnessed just how good the lad is at FB in accordance with what I consider to be the best qualifying elements in said position

Agree for me the main points are 1 on 1 defence and kick returns. I would say organising and a talker are fair skills for a full back also as he gets a good view of what's happening. I would say he is the best full back in SL at the moment. And regarding his passing while not the best I have seen an improvement in this area from him
