| Quote: Harrigan "I have Sky and BBC on but I'm with BBCs comms, mainly because I can't stand to listen to Mongomerie. He's so full of himself it's unbelievable. Anyone would think he beat Jack's record by 1 the way he goes on.
The way I see his moods and sulkyness is because he's a winner and anything less than perfect isn't good enough. People said the same about James Graham, but that's because he's a winner too. I prefer that attitude over someone who has no drive. It separates the good from the great.'"
Agree regarding monty. Still mentioning his 2010 Ryder cup team.
Regarding woods being a winner I can see your point, but you chose a bad comparison. Most of the time I have seen graham he is usually a loser
I put his attitude to being ginger!!

| Right, so here we are with 1 round left. Snedeker will take some beating but Cabrerra has been there and done it before. Out of the pack I'd say Kuchar has a good chance and if I was to put money on anyone who isn't -7, it'd be him.
I'm not sure on Tiger. His puttings been off since midway through yesterday and I reckon he'll have to shoot a 68 to have a shot.
I still think -7 is too high for this course. Yesterday I said the leaders tonight would be at -5 and I wasn't far off. I'm saying tomorrow that -5/-6 will win it. It should be an exciting afternoon of golf though and I'm looking forward to it.

| Snedeker is a great putter and with the greens speeding up he must have a good chance - the only question is whether he can take the pressure? The one player I fancy if he can hole some putts is Justin Rose

| Quote: Sal Paradise "Why should he - why didn't the on course rules official or his playing partners point that out to Woods when he took an illegal drop?
This only came to light when a tv viewer point the error out - I suppose he didn't keep the point at which the ball crossed the hazard between himself and the hole?'"
He said in his after round press conference that hr dropped it 2 yards behind on purpose. To me that makes the TV viewer phoning up irrelevant. He broke the rules deliberately.

No he was using a rule that states you have to keep the point at which it crossed the hazard between himself and the hole - you can go as far back as you like in this case. The point it crossed the hazard was when it came off the flag and into the water. As I said before there were rules officials and his playing partners who didn't see anything wrong - to say he deliberately broke rules is unfair and inaccurate.

So, without reading or watching everything else on this why was he later penalised by 2 shots?
If a player enters an incorrect score I thought that meant automatic expulsion.
I bet had it happened to the young chinese lad, he'd have been disqualified.
Had Woods been dq'ed I expect viewing figures would have suffered.
Not that I'm suggesting the 2 matters are related.

The rules of golf are very complex and not an exact science - they are open to interpretation. You are effectively saying Woods is a cheat which I personally believe to be incorrect. He made an understandable error for which he was penalised - the 4 shots he lost at that one hole - the two for the penalty and the two because of the ball hitting the flag and going in the water cost him the win.

| The ball going in the water was an unlucky break but I guess these things occasionally happen and not just to Woods. He still carded a six after a good recovery shot and short putt played from an illegal drop.
I don't think that's what cost him in the grand scheme of things, he missed too many makeable putts and spent too much time hacking out of the trees to make a charge.
Kept thinking Westwood was going to make a putt ...... but never did.
