I think it'll look something like this

Webb
BJB, Watkins, Hardaker, Hall
Sinfield, McGuire
Leuluai, Lunt, Bailey
JJB, Clarkson
Ablett

Burrow, Hauraki, Moore, Kirke.

Don't think McDermott's the type to go for the 'save the big guns on the bench' approach. Smith might get a start if Watkins isn't quite ready or he fancies resting Webb. McShane i think to miss out because he'll want to see how the Lunt/Burrow combination works before the big league games coming up, with Lunt being interchanged back on in the back row somewhere possibly.

Quote: rhinoms "Travel advice due to roadworks...

This is for people parking on the Stadium Complex. Few things you can do here.

You will all probably be arriving from the East Lancs Road.

When you take the turning down the Atherleigh Bypass (a579) and get to the first set of lights you can go straight on to the ground, and into the roadworks. This isn't a major issue as they're being manned, the Stadium is literally 1/2 a mile away from these lights. If you go through the lights and onto the stadium complex you can have a beer in the Leigh East Clubhouse.

If you turn left at the lights there is a pub called 'The Robin Hood' on your left (decent grub, Cumberland on tap) This has free limited parking, but there's parking all up St.Helens Road anyway. And you're a 10 minute walk from the ground.

If you turn right you can go towards Leigh Town Centre. About a mile up the road is 'The Centurion' pub. That will be hammered with fans and only 5 mins from the ground and free parking all round the estate to the back of it.

If you drive past The Centurion you will come to a set of lights with The Goose pub facing you. This is a really popular pub for Leigh fans, real ale, banter too.

Lastly, for the early arrivers. If you drive past The Goose there is a car park on your right, stick your car on there and you're right near The White Lion CAMRA pub, the start of the mini Real Ale Trail, which is The White Lion, The Thomas Burke then The Goose.

I would be surprised if Brian McD messed around too much with positional changes. I expect to see us start with our strongest line up for 2 reasons. Firstly to ensure we win the game and secondly to get some confidence and fluidity back in the side in readyness for the upcoming key SL fixtures. Once a victory has been assured I would look to rest Sinfield, Ablett and Webb on the bench and give the returning injured maximum opportunity to get match fit.

Hope the injuries to JP & Delaney are not serious but a they have both earned a rest and Griffin will benefit for a week off too.

I suppose our lads will already be doin their shift down't pit now, then they'll have to get home and walk the whippets before they grab their dripping butties so they're in full fettle to take on the world champs. eusa_whistle.gif

Saw a feature on the Leigh team training a couple of days back and it seemed to be a pitch in the middle of a council estate. I could be wrong but it didn't look like the sports village. Any idea where it was?

It would have been on Leigh East outside pitch which does have old council houses running alongside it, it is actually part of the complex though.

It was filmed looking towards a row of council houses so you couldn't see any of the sports complex. Cheers.

I was referring to people giving us absolutely no chance and as you know, we c(sh)ould have won that game.

This is a team made up of players that have won so much, getting up for the weekly games where there is no obvious reward must be a challenge tbh, especially when the other teams who haven't tasted the success we have need no motivation to try and beat us. I think we're in a unique position in that respect.

Yes there are numerous pitches on the complex and if you've never been to the LSV I think you'll like it. Obviously it's not on the scale of yours but you're very close to the action and there are uninterrupted views as you'd expect in a new stadium.

I've got to tell you that we at Leigh are all frothing at the mouth already for this game tonight as it's our first big competitive (Leigh) game there.

So welcome to all of you and I hope you like our home. icon_thumb.gif

Gutted...was planning a trip up with my lad (wanted to see the new ground after suffering the trauma of the mud of the ground around Hilton Park in the dark days of John Woods and Drummond thrashings). Instead I am laid up in bed with flu icon_sad.gif

Hope you guys see the best of Leeds and Leigh give them a good game.
